The place looked absolutely the same since the last time I was there, nearly 10 years ago......and even then it wasn't great. Everyone there from the receptionist to the staff around the car park, all looking for a quick buck on the side. Reception staff are very rude and unable to deal with guests checking out as well as queries at the desk and potential check ins. He plainly told me that we were an hour earlier and should just sit till being called yet he checked multiple guests in. I had called the reception 15 mnts before that to ask if a room was available and was told to come to the hotel reception and check out the room which was why we were there in the first place. The gentle*** also suggested that coming to the counter would help us make a deal in person where he could reduce the price and that was an indication also. Anyways whatever happens is for the best and my wife witnessed it all sitting in the lobby area for 30 mnts, and we called another hotel where they were very courteous and obliging and checked in there, got a brilliant sea facing room (Sandy don't have any), for 1500 rs cheaper than Sandy and with breakfast. They didn't even charge for our 8 year old child although we asked for a mattress. That's hospitality for you, it's not all about making money !!!!
