What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant. I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. There is nothing in this historic building that is outdated, or in need of renovation. The most important

We stayed at hotel chems from the 31st of December for six consecutive days for the new year. This was my second time in Marrakech but my mum's first time. The location is second to none within a few minutes walk to the square and also many other local attractions. On arrival we were told that we needed to check in from 3:00 p.m. we'd got there early but were able to drop off our bags and then go out exploring. The hotel itself is a little outdated, however it is very clean. Staff are very good, welcoming and attentive, room sizes good and price good. Bedrooms made up everyday, towels changed, cleaned throughout. Pool towels available for free at pool. We stopped between December and January, that is a very good size pool approximately 25 m. However it is very cold but still accessible plenty of seating areas for drinks and snacks. There are plenty of sun lounges around the poolside as well as in the grass area. Breakfast is served daily which is included within the cost and there was ample choice a selection of eggs, Cereals, yogurts a little fruit, many pastries, etc. The hotel also has a snack bar and does offer evening meals. We did not take any evening meals here. We did have snacks during the day. Things like salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. The food was good. As the hotel was very close to the local area, we were able to walk although it was close to a taxi rank. If you should need this. Within 1 minute walk to Koutobia mosque, then about 5 mins to jem so fnaa square, Cyber park short walk ( nice to visit) near royal mansour Marrakech, Around 40 mins walk is the beautiful menara :) There is also complex artisan is about 10 minutes walk maximum full of things to buy As you come out of the hotel grounds, if you do a left you will find a park on the left hand side ( Koutobia). You can walk straight through this to the main road to take a shorter route to places. There is plenty of opportunities for walking and running. It is very safe to run alone. When we were there the sunrose at about 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and the mornings were cool. During the daytime, you can expect temperatures of around 18° c in December and January plenty warm enough if you are from England. We had a walking tour that I arranged before we went through TripAdvisor. It was very good. We also booked the waterfalls trip. This was okay. I also took a hot air balloon trip which was amazing. All of these were booked online instead of at the hotel. There was no particular reason not to book at the hotel. I just didn't realise that there was somebody on site to do this before travelling. The reception is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week. On New year's Eve, we was welcomed with a show and dinner from 7:30 p.m. full entertainment and several courses for a meal and drinks. This was all inclusive even though we was on a bed and breakfast basis. We had no idea that this was going to happen. It was a lovely surprise. The entertainment was fun. Most of the ho

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Jaal Riad Resort. The hotel is in a great location, only 10-15 minutes in a taxi to the Medina & Jemaa el-Fnaa Square (make sure you agree the price up front, 70-80 dirhams there and 40-50 dirhams return). The Al Mazar Shopping Mall is just a 5 minute walk around the corner from the hotel with boutiques, food outlets and a massive Carrefour in the basement (including the sale of alcohol). Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We requested a top floor room on arrival and it was sorted immediately. The bar and outside area were very relaxing, with a range of singers providing a lovely background ambience in the early evening. The pool was lovely, if a little cool (refreshing) in the morning. The chill out music round the pool during the day was very pleasant. There were no issues with access to available sunbeds, with fresh clean towels available every day. Special mention to Rania, who is front of house for the main restaurant, always happy and smiling. She gave us some great advice whenever we needed it including the recommendation to book ‘The Cat’ restaurant which proved to be a highlight. In the main restaurant Simo was always looking out for us, ensuring that our glasses were topped up and sorting out fresh tea and coffee in the mornings (taking into account our weird British preferences). The buffet itself was superb with plentiful high quality dishes to choose from. All of the staff were always smiling, polite and highly professional. Being able to speak a little French did help on occasion in the hotel and the Souks, but not essential. Overall we had a brilliant one week break, and would definitely recommend the hotel !

What an amazing place to stay, the from start to finish the staff were amazing and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was cleaned daily, fresh water, clean towels etc. The food was always hot, fresh and plenty of variety for everyone. The entertainment team were always present doing something so everybody had a chance to either be involved (or not). Already looking at an opportunity to return. You guys are all fantastic, thank you for such a memorable holiday!!
From the moment of arrival, Moustapha and the other members of staff were very welcoming. We were kindly greeted with mint tea and Moroccan cake whilst we waited for our room to be prepared (we arrived at 10am). The riad is the perfect mix of authentic and modern, lined with tiles, comfortable seating and a peaceful atmosphere you will be grateful for in order to escape the bustling streets of Marrakesh. The rooms and communal areas are immaculate and the rooftop beds the perfect place to chill on an afternoon. There’s also a small pool on the ground floor for cooling down when the heat becomes too much. The breakfast is excellent with a mixture of traditional Moroccan breads, omelette, fruit and salad accompanied by mint tea and freshly squeezed orange juice. The perfect start for busy days! Moustapha could not have done anymore prior to arrival and whilst we were there. He helped arrange return transfers from the airport and was a fountain of local knowledge with guidance on navigating the streets of Marrakesh. If you are considering staying here then I urge you to book as you will not be disappointed!!!
ผผู้เข้าพักBeautiful Riad with exceptional staff. I stayed 6 nights and was grateful for the exceptional service. There are a lot of stairs -- that's everywhere in Morocco - but the the Riad experience is worth it. It's located in the Medina close to the gate - easy to find and also easy to get a taxi at the Medina entrance. Lovely, lovely experience.
Upon arrival at the hotel me & my friend was gobsmacked with the beauty of the hotel, the standard decor of the lobby to our individual rooms. We were more than pleased. From the animation team to the housekeepers to the waiters, we really couldn’t have asked for more. We did 10 days and I could have done an extra 2 days. The food was lovely everyday, but by the 7th day it felt repetitive. However, with this said we still didn’t want to go to an outside restaurant as everything was so plentiful, colourful and the lay always made you salivate, so tbh we still couldn’t complain. The waiter Youssef was attentive and couldn’t have done more for us. Our taxi driver, with the same name was lovely and affordable. He charged us correctly and never tried to over quote. He even got a tip when we was leaving! Going to the market was a treat as I love to barter - getting everything at the price I always stuck to. They really do tend to overcharge for their goods but it’s understandable but like I said - I love to barter lol. It was first for both of us Morocco and it was an absolute fab time and place. I will definitely be re-visiting. One down side. Be mindful when you go to the market and you purchase an handbag. Make sure you thoroughly check inside and out in GOOD lighting. If not you will regret it as my friend did and although we took it back for an exchange or our money back - even some of it the little boy was so rude and smirked, but, really it was no biggie when you realise that possibly he needed the money more than she did at that time. Overall though I’ve been back for 4 days and looking at re-booking again already!!
