Riad Aladdin

Such a beautiful place to stay in the Medina. All the rooms are different but amazing. We stayed in a superior double which had a really comfortable bed and quirky Moroccan furnishings. The staff were all incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast too including pancakes and omelette. Great roof terrace/sunbathing area. Would love to return and wholeheartedly recommend

Staff: Very warm welcome (we were greeted with tea) and the staff are generally friendly. They stored waters for us in the fridge, very kindly, and accommodated us when we asked to eat breakfast inside. They also kindly printed our boarding passes for our return flight. However, just prior to check out, we were informed there was a nearly 600 dirhams city fee to pay and they tried to charge us for water we didn't have. As we were not informed of this in advance (either by our booking agent or the riad), we said we'd only be able to pay the fee once we'd returned home as we'd spend what we had. This, coupled with refusing to pay for water we didn't buy from the riad, led to one of the cleaning ladies becoming quite forceful and angry with us. We offered all the money we had and to pay the rest once we returned home, but she was unsatisfied. In the end, she quite angrily told us to go without paying the city fee. Had we been informed at the start of our stay, the fee wouldn't have been an issue English-speaking staff are sometimes hard to find in the riad. There are two gentlemen who speak English very well but you have to catch them in passing as reception is rarely manned (which was also a concern because keys to rooms are left displayed in the unmanned reception area). Maintenance: We had two maintenance problems. Firstly, the lock on our room did not work, such that anyone could walk in. I asked staff repeatedly to remedy this because I had valuables inside the room but the promises the repair it never materialised. As a result, I had to carry some of my valuables with me every time I left the hotel until I found a padlock to lock them in the wardrobe. For me, this is the main reason I'll never return. A secure room is a minimum standard and they knowingly refused to meet it. It ruined my experience because I had the constant worry our passports or valuables would go missing - and worse, our travel insurance protection against theft would be void because the room was not secured. It also meant that any noise in the night woke me. The lock issue was not resolved during our 10 day stay. On the bright side, the riad cannot be entered without the staff letting you in the door, so the potential for intrusion was minimized by that (the downside of that is that you can hear the riad doorbell from your room at all hours). Secondly, we had an issue with our toilet not flushing properly. In the first instance, this was resolved promptly, but the problem soon re-emerged and took three days to be resolved. During the interim, the toilet was flushable but was heavily trickling. We were a little more annoyed at this lack of urgent maintenance given the riad was doing non-urgent maintenance (such as painting) nearly constantly. Food: We opted for breakfast only. It was a traditional Marrakech breakfast (Msemmen and the like). The food itself was OK. We didn't miss it at all when we skipped breakfast for the excursions or to eat it elsewhere bu

Review Booked with Easy jet holiday as a package holiday, but it doesn’t come with transfer. Landed and got the L19 to the centre of medina about 15 mins at 30 dirhams. Took a good 10 mins walk to Riad Aladdin with suitcases , as roads are clobbered. In this heat we were hot and sweaty. We initially got lost, my off line google maps was not working and asking people was a no no, as they always want money. I initially was going to get my SIM card at the airport ….. but it was expensive €20 for my 5 day stay. In the end I popped into an Orange mobile shop and paid 150DH for data. At the Riad, once you walk in ….. it’s so quirky. We sat down completed our registration form with free mint tea and biscuits. I visited here with my son. Our room was a standard twin room with air con on the ground floor. It was perfect as it was meters away from the pool. I have stay in many places all over the world, but this place is truly amazing if you want to fully relax. There is only around 15 rooms, so the staff will do everything for you. I am not a keen sun worshipper but I like to relax. There is comfy sofa next to the pool to chill and fall asleep without the fear of getting burnt. The riad is Moroccan theme throughout. It’s just so nice. No tv, no hair dryer, no safe, lacked storage but I still love this place. Breakfast was served at your table and there was no mad rush. Slightly different every day and you just ask if you want an egg. It was strange every time you return back to the Riad, you have to press the door bell and wait for them to open the door. Riad Aladin is in the perfect location to visit all the attractions within walking distance. Visiting one, then back at the Riad to refreshen up to then go again. The moment you step out of this place within meters, it’s so busy and crazy. A big thank you to all the staff here who have made our stay pleasurable and comfortable. We had an early flight so had to check out at 7am. The staff made a breakfast bag which we was most grateful for. I would not hesitate to stay at Riad Aladdin. Peace & quiet to spend quality time with loved ones, great location and within walking distance to all the top sites.

Our recent 4-night stay at Riad Aladdin, included in our Easyjet holiday package, exceeded all expectations! This place is truly remarkable. The prime location is a dream, with many popular tourist attractions within easy walking distance, allowing us to explore effortlessly. The staff at Riad Aladdin deserves special praise for their warm welcome and exceptional friendliness. Their attentiveness to our every need was impressive, and they went above and beyond by providing invaluable recommendations for local attractions and ensuring our safety during exploration. The rooms were not only immaculately clean but also tastefully adorned with traditional decor. We were delighted to find fresh towels and essential toiletries readily available. The addition of reliable AC and Wi-Fi made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the lovely rooftop terrace, where we spent several evenings enjoying the relaxing ambiance. On two separate days, we had to leave early for pre-booked tours, and the staff graciously arranged a scrumptious breakfast for us ahead of the usual serving time. Their thoughtfulness truly made a difference. Overall, Riad Aladdin is a fantastic choice for families and friends seeking an unforgettable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

DO NOT BOOK ❌ Incredibly unresponsive staff speaking other languages than english. We booked a big group of 11people 9rooms. Difficult to deal with, never get back immediately, only after multiple mails responding in french not english.

I booked a 3 night stay at RIAD ALADDIN and was extremely impressed with my stay, the room was amazing bed really comfortable air con worked perfectly, Yazeem who was the gentleman that welcomed me was brilliant throughout my stay he recommended some great places to visit and on the evening of my arrival showed me the restaurant LE TANJIA (separate review will be on there page) He also gave me some tips about walking around Marrakech and how to stay safe during the evening and what places to avoid and also most of the tourist traps, some really great advice. The breakfast was great couple of pastries and some coffee with Jam, honey etc. Only had once as was up early two mornings for the excursions and flight home. The pool was well kept and clean and was very much welcomed in the afternoon when it was really hot after exploring the medina and the souks was great to relax in the pool and cool down before the evening. The RIAD was well kept and clean looked amazing when I first arrived, the staff and facilities were amazing and would love to stay again at some point in the future. Thank you for a great stay 👍

This a little gem of a place! Situated perfectly for discovering Marrakesh, but tucked away if you need to get away from it all. It was so tranquil inside. The breakfast was traditional, very tasty and filling. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The rooms (the whole place) is traditional, beautifully decorated. I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper though! The call to prayer,in the early morning, combined with my husbands snoring, was tricky! We travelled with our two boys age 12 and 15 and stayed in a family suite, which was perfect. Will definitely return!

Just arrived back after a 4 night stay at this Riad. Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. Had food here on the 1st night which was very tasty and good value for money, also good breakfasts. The Riad has a sun terrace which is a lovely place to relax. The rooms are all slightly different and are very comfortable. Well placed to get into the souk easily. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

An excellently situated Riad, perfectly positioned off a square close to the hustle & bustle of Marrakesh but enough of a distance to get away from it all if needed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were lovely and welcoming and available to assist if we needed anything. There is a beautiful roof terrace for sunbathing or quiet reading. We had a wonderful week here.
