I had a fantastic stay at Riad El Borj, it was my first time in Marrakesh and Morocco and as a solo traveller feeling comfortable is so important, and I felt comfortable here. The environment was beautiful with bougainvillea flowers, orange trees and a beautiful cat, a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the souks. Everyone was very friendly and helpfull, lovely breakfast too.

Tastefully decorated and comfortable. Staff was very kind and breakfast satisfying. Stayed in the 'Tower Room' with large private rooftop terrace which was great for sunsets. The owner was there everyday, a well-spoken Frenchman who gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Would not hesitate to stay here again

I had such an amazing time at this Ryad! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The Ryad is walking distance from many historical sites which is convenient if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on transportation. Ali was sooooo nice! He really made my stay wonderful. I highly recommend this Ryad.

Location is perfect in seeing Marrakech. Walking distance to all the sites. Easy to navigate. Location is safe even after hours. Communication was easy with the owner Daniel. Very pleasant gentleman. Ali, the main host is very welcoming. Staff are very helpful. Memorable experience of Marrakech because of amazing accommodation. Thank you.

This riad is a gem in the old Medina. Very spacious, clean, beautiful. The host and the staff were very friendly and ensured we have the most comfortable stay. Even on one of the days we woke up very early to take a day tour they gave us a small bag with breakfast to take with us. These things count to make your stay more and more enjoyable. I would definitely chose this riad again if I revisit Marrakesh :)

The staffs were wonderful and friendly. The room was very clean. The AC worked really well. The courtyard was nice and cool. Patio was pretty. I enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast and the orange jam. I wished there would be an egg though. Location is not bad. We were able to find it with google map without difficulties. We loved the restaurant Nomad that the riad recommended. The trash can in the bathroom was handmade and so adorable.

Communication with El Borj is excellent, we arranged a transfer from the airport and all went very smoothly. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Ali and a tour of our accommodation. The Douriya room is spectacular, huge, cool and very relaxing. After a few days exploring the medina it was a welcome to return to El Borj and our cool relaxing rooms! The location to Jemaa el Fna and the Souks is great, a 5 minute walk. Ali arranged a hot air balloon ride for us, the pick up location was at Cafe de France at Jema El Fna market, so the location cannot be beaten for being central. Daniel helped us with withdrawing money at the A**. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely and the staff are excellent. There are many places to eat and wander around. I would 100% recommend El Borj, for our very first experience of Marrakech, it was fabulous.

We spent three night at Riad El Borj and enjoyed it immensely. Our room was quiet and comfortable and we received some good inner options from Ali. The Riad is a beautiful oasis off one of the main streets of the Medina but once you are behind the doors the mayhem from outside is forgotten. Breakfast was good - fruit, yoghurt plus different breads, jams and cheese with a delicious cake option that we ate each morning! The staff were helpful and friendly and the owner very approachable rescuing us at the door on our first night after we had become hopelessly lost. (This was our fault and nothing to do with the Riad)
