El Faro Hotel & Spa

in the second day i have been in this hotel i have found a worms in my broccoli i have taking pictures if you need prove of this imagine my holidays i got sick all day regarding this matter all the rest of the holidays i have been paranoid regarding this matter and this is just the start on the restaurant El mercado all the time the food was constant really cold no matter what you chose was freezing cold maybe except the pizza and the bbq grills rest of the food cold. we arrive on the 29 of June you couldn't use the beach was disgusting more them 3 metres of seaweed and no-one bother to clean we use other part of the beach which wasn't part of the hotel was slighter better but just for one day because after get the same thats why is the reason i booked a hotel with private beach so i can use and enjoy but unfortunately not this time so disappointed with this hotel.So far this holidays was one of the worst experience i ever have with Tui !!! This hotel should be a 5* hotel not even 3* is not worth the room full of mould and a really bad spell they change our room the next day but was exactly the same i have pictures i can prove how much mould was on that room i am allergic to dust and mould i couldn't sleep and breath properly the fridge bar was fill up just , when you call them on the reception , shelfs on the wardrobe really dirty i have to wide down

The staff at the hotel were kind, helpful, and extremely professional. The rooms and bathrooms were clean . The breakfast was very nice. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and it was fresh and delicious. The spa was not great at all. My husband and I both received a 50-minute massage and while the massage was good, the atmosphere was horrible. We both were in a separate rooms and we both experienced the loudness of customers coming to the spa desk to book an appointment and/or because they left an item in the spa. Just as you were about to relax while receiving the massage them boom and extremely loud conversation would happen and it would take you out of relaxation, this happened two times. After the massage was over we did not get offered a glass of water or tea and to sit someone for 10-15 minutes, we were rushed out, asked to pay and that was it. I was also shocked when you book a treatment you did not get at least 30 minutes in the spa area, I have never heard of such a rule, they wanted us to pay for to use it. I would gladly pay if I did not book a treatment, but we booked a treatment it should be included. I was surprised not to see conditioner offered in the bathrooms of your hotel room. You also had to pay extra if you wanted coffee

My husband and I spent a week here celebrating a special birthday. What a treat it was to stay at the El Faro Hotel. From the spectacular views, food and service. My only complaint is that they do not offer free EV charging to their guests. (Most luxury hotels do not charge their guests 50€ per charge!) I would highly recommend this hotel.

We only had two nights here but wished it was for longer!! The hotel looks even better than on the website!! We loved swimming in the pool and even managed to swim in the sea even though it was May! We ate at the restaurant and it was very good! Breakfast was great too!

Unfortunately, as the titles says, this is an over priced mid-range hotel. The best part is the view and the location by the sea. Also, the pool is nice and the staff are very professional. However, there is no value for money. When comparing it to many upscale or even mid-range hotels, this one doesn’t deliver on the very basic things any good hotel should offer. Our superior sea view room was very small and very simply decorated. Although it had been renovated (I can’t believe they have rooms that are not renovated), the work has been sloppy. There was a good amount of storage space, which was positive. What I disliked were simple things that are very easy, and SHOULD be covered in a self-proclaimed luxury resort. The drinking “glasses” in the room were plastic. The cheapest plastic cups you can get. There were just two complimentary water bottles per stay. Usually most hotels give you new water every day. There was no iron in the room and the hair dryer was either very, very old or the worst on the market as it had extremely weak power. The toiletries were of bad quality and there was no amenity set, no shower caps, basically nothing. The hotel directory also didn’t mention that they’d bring you those if you ask. Although this is a spa hotel, there were no slippers nor bath robes. We visit several spa hotels a year and they always offer slippers and bath robes. We did get slippers when we asked for those but we’re told that bath robes are for “the better rooms”. The breakfast was quite basic and the food they offer is low quality. There’s also very little traditional local foods. The coffee is good, though. The staff made nice cappuccinos. The whole look and feel of the hotel is somehow very blank and needs a designer to bring out more Mediterranean vibes (or any vibes, for that matter). It’s just too simple and cheap. The furniture on balconies and terraces are metal and don’t have any cushions which makes them very uncomfortable. The outdoor areas are dirty, the garden is not well maintained and the outdoor gym is very dirty and should be cleaned. All in all, this hotel is certainly not worth the money. Very underwhelming and the management should visit some actual good hotels to get inspiration on how to run a n upscale hotel because this one is a basic hotel with a nice view.

Stayed at El Faro for a week. My sister and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff from all ares of the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect, overlooking the sea. We were both impressed by the welcome we received at reception and were personally taken to our room. The hotel had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the food at the pool bar. We also enjoyed the evening meal at the restaurant. If it were possible I feel it would help to have the more simple menu at lunch to be included to night time restaurant menu, just to get more of a selection. The pool area, the different areas for sunbathing were beautiful. It was never crowded sometimes had the pool to ourselves. I would definitely recommend that you hire a car.

My husband I just just returned from visiting beautiful Sardinia. The best part of our visit was the three nights we spent at El Faro Resort. Check in was quick and friendly with the front desk employee walking us personally to our room and showing us in. We had a sea view room and the view was stunning. You are so close to the ocean you can hear the water lapping at the shore when you leave the door open (it has a screen). The room and the entire hotel were spotless! We enjoyed the breakfast everyday. It is buffet style but they will bring you coffee and teas to the table. There were eggs, bacon and sausage everyday as well as a large selection of breads, meats, yogurt, cereals, pastries and juices. Our favorite part was definitely the afternoon we spent by the beautiful pool. You can lie by the pool and have an ocean view at the same time. There is a pool bar that was never crowded and had great cocktails. We ate lunch poolside too and it was quite good! We never tried dinner there. It is about a 15 min drive from Alghero and we never had any trouble finding a free space for our rental car. It is also very close to Neptune's Grotto and Mugoni Beach, both of which we enjoyed visiting. The resort never felt overcrowded and the whole resort was so quiet and peaceful. We visited in early June so perhaps it gets busier. Overall our visit was amazing and I hope to go back one day. The rest of the week we spent and a more expensive resort in the Chia area of Sardinia and while it was nice - El Faro was perfection!

The worst experience ever and we travel a lot all around the world! The only nice thing about this hotel is the view (if you book one). As there were some problems with the reservation, they promissed to upgrade our room to a sea view suit. When we came infront of the hotel there was no one to help us with the luggage. The receptionist was verz rude. The windows were all verz dirty, the smell and the feeling if decay. The kind of place one would expect a murder from Agata Christy books would occour. To make a long story short - you will get a suite thez said, this is a very quiet place they said, nothing will be going on when you will be staying with us etc. Thez took us few floors down with a smelly tiny elevator (did not seem very safe), they took as to an even smaller and even smellier DARK room with NO view! Thez were very agnrz when we mentioned they promissed the suite. They took us to a bigger room with light and sea view. The rooms have no isolation, you can here EVERYTHING. There was a doctors convetion in the hotel, They were preparing the restaurant for a BIG WEDDING so we had to eat dinner and brekfast in a dark small smelly place. The food was poor. The service non existant. Drinks expensive. Pool terrible, The beach dirty, We decided to leave. They called us a cab. Their computers were not working so the cab driver had to wait over an hour as we were waiting to pay. They charged us the whole stay. Never apologized. Refused to pay for the cab. It is not a 4 star hotel. It is a terrbile hell hole. Do not go there if you respect yourself, your loved ones, your money, your time.

My wife and I just completed 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. Wonderful service - front desk, servers especially (shout out to Lelle and Maria Antoinetta - Grazie!). Fantastic setting above the bay - peaceful and tranquil surroundings with well tended gardens. There were many places to relax along the water - shade and loungers just above the waves - idyllic. Breakfast was very good and dinner even better. The interior spaces are elegantly designed. The entire property was very clean. Can't wait to return!
