A charming, authentic place where the welcome is warm and the night calm and restful. Very well restored. We highly recommend it.

Decided to treat myself after a 2 weeks motorcycle trip in France and Spain. Being in Montélimar I looked for the extraordinary in the region and found this little gem just South of the Nougat capital of the world. The Treasure of the Templars really lives up to its name. A beautiful authentical farmhouse fully restored to its original glory with all the modern amenities one could wish for. The property is surrounded by plenty of green and the vinyards belonging to the property. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by Fabienne and Pierre, the owners and driving forces behind this beautiful place. When the showed me my room (named Gourmandise) I was very pleasantly surprised by the tasteful decoration and arrangement, combining ancient with modern. A spacious living area, desk, large bedroom with another sitting area. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom and is much bigger than usually (although ours is even a little bigger 😉) . Nice little touch: unlike the usual plies or tricks to hold the toilet paper in place here it is fixed with a little sticker with the Templars symbol. The size and quality of it is also beyond the usual. As for the bathroom again a beautifully arrangement with design bath and sink, walk-in shower with rain and hand shower and discrete lights. Needless to say here also a lot of attention to details such as the special soap, vanity kit, gels, lotions, etc. The large king size bed was very comfortable and unlike my usual problem sleeping in a new bed the first night I had no trouble sleeping at all here. Of course the room had airconditioning which was performant but very silent. Internet was powerful with strong signal and high throughput. Excellent! The Treasure has a beautiful pool area which I unfortunately did not use (arrived a little late). I am sure it would not disappoint. Dinner is another highlight. There was a choice of a truffel menu and the 'arrivé du jour'. Both choices are excellent with fresh local ingredients, very balanced taste, a pleasure for the palette and nicely presented. Fabienne - who prepares the menus - certainly has star-worthy skills. The wines with the meals come either from their own domain or from the neighbouring domains (his friends as Pierre states). The wine from Pierre easily can be compared with the better wines in the region. Obviously the card has some other fine wines from well-known houses as well as a selection of fine champagnes. As for breakfast again the focus is on local and home-made with nice confitures, real honey (not the cheap stuff from you local supermarket) and a fine choice of cheese and charcuterie. As for the value, well, it is in a higher price category than most hotels (a classification I find difficult to use for the The Treasure) in the area. However, none of them offer this level of comfort, taste, peace and level of attention to your needs. Nous avons réservé une chambre et dîné sur place. Que dire ?… Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation. Accueil très agréables, des chambres décorées avec goût, un repas à la truffe superbe. Du vin et une ambiance qui fait que l’on se sent très bien. N’hésitez pas à vous arrêter.

Nous avions la chambre Mirage, très grande chambre très agréable avec baignoire et douche à l’italienne, la cour intérieure était féerique, très belle piscine, tant l’extérieur que l’intérieur sont décorés avec goût, très bel équilibre, un endroit qui vaut le détour. Petit shop avec produits locaux et des produits Durance parfums d intérieur et bougies. Encore un grand merci pour votre accueil et à la prochaine fois

Établissement exceptionnel et doté d’un accueil extrêmement chaleureux. La qualité d’un 4etoiles dans l’âme d’une chambre d’hôte.

Difficile je pense de trouver mieux dans la région. Un bel endroit, élégant, au calme, sublimé par un couple de propriétaires très gentils et aux petits soins. Tout est simple, facile et fluide ici. Par ailleurs une très bonne table. Continuez comme ça sans ne rien changer.

Simplement exceptionnel! Cette superbe bastide transformée en petit hôtel 4 étoiles est un pur bonheur. L’accueil est chaleureux et l’ambiance très relaxante. Notre chambre était immense, superbement décorée avec 2 petits salons et une magnifique salle de bain. Le coin piscine est magnifique et l’eau très propre…Le repas au restaurant le soir était excellent, produits frais du marché et le service très sympathique et attentionné. Un rapport qualité prix rarement égalé…En bref, une magnifique expérience à renouveler. Vivement conseillé car c’est un endroit unique! Merci à toute l’équipe pour ce moment remarquable. Vous êtes tous vraiment sympa et professionnels.

In Höhe von Montelimar nahe der Autobahn gelegen, bietet sich dieses persönlich geführte kleine Hotel für eine Übernachtung an. Die Grundmauern dieses vor etwa 10 Jahren sanierten Anwesens gehen auf die Templer zurück, daher der Bezug zum legendären Ritterorden- sowohl im Namen als auch in der Gestaltung. Hat man die Einfahrt zum Hotel erst einmal gefunden, kann man die Seele baumeln lassen und sich an dem Hotel eigenen „Zoo“ bestehend aus Hund, Katze und Pfau erfreuen. Abends wird ein einfaches, aber schmackhaftes Menu zu einem fairen Preis angeboten. Zum Frühstück werden hausgemachte Produkte wie Marmeladen, Joghurt oder Kirschen vom Baum gereicht. Angenehmer, diskreter Service. Menschen mit etwas leichterem Schlaf können sich von der nahe gelegenen Landstraße eventuell gestört fühlen. Gut gefallen hat mir die Suite „Tendresse“, die mit hellem Mobiliar ausgestattet ist, bei den anderen Zimmern entsprach die Farbwahl (schwarz und rot) nicht meinem persönlichen Geschmack, bei vorheriger Reservierung kann man entsprechend auswählen. Rechtzeitige Reservierung ratsam.

Autant le lieu est charmant, autant l’accueil des propriétaires est catastrophiques ! Ne comptez pas rester plus tard que 11h. Les chambres doivent impérativement libérées ! On vous le dit à l’arrivée (également qu’il ne faudra pas oublier de payer 😀). Puis si vous n’avez pas bien compris, Madame viendra frapper à la porte à 11h01 pour vous le rappeler (eh non, ce n’était pas le petit déjeuner !) Les portes de l’hôtel ferment a 11h15. Impossible de flâner un petit moment au bord de la piscine ou d’avoir un expresso rapide avant de reprendre la route. Vous devriez changer de métier, l hôtellerie en est un vrai ou l’accueil est clé 🔑 Bon dimanche 😉
