We stayed at Carana Beach hotel for 3 days during our honeymoon. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the hotel very much. We had just come from Kenya where we did a lot of driving and moving for a week straight, so we were very much looking forward to doing nothing but relaxing and swimming around. We got exactly what we wanted at Carana Beach Hotel. You can walk to a couple different access points to the beach either right from the hotel or just a short walk outside of the hotel grounds as well. The room was very comfortable and offered a gorgeous view of the ocean. We enjoyed all the little touches the staff left throughout our stay to make our time extra special. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site, and while we wished there were a few more options to choose from (rotating, limited menu each night for dinner), the food was fresh and tasted great. A very special shout out to Lahiru and Nishantha. It was such a pleasure chatting with them during our stay and they really go the extra mile to make guests feel special and taken care of. Thank you for giving us a very special honeymoon experience!

Wow it was so good to be back and really felt valued for returning to this lovely hotel in this beautiful part of the world - after a long journey you arrive in this amazing part of the world and it’s so good to be there to switch off and relax Our room was beautiful with beautiful flowers on the bed and fruit on arrival bed was comfy and the bedroom was lovely - cleaners do a great job - but the best bit is on the patio overlooking the beautiful sea with an amazing plunge pool (so wish I was still there) We could never tire of looking out to the sea (even saw dolphins) Food was lovely especially the 4 course dinners wow that soup and canapés were fabulous and fish were beautiful all great choices they even cooked our fish we caught and was a very special evening with candles we loved it We love everything about this hotel from the beautiful gardens kept by Francesca to the lovely pool and loved our lunches too with pina coladas and a lovely rose wine - enjoying the pool and views Staff were very helpful but a special mention to Mercia who was so attentive friendly and a beautiful smile every day - she really does warrant a promotion and to Tabi (waiter from Cameroon) who stepped up his pace when busy but welcomed every guest with a lovely smile and lovely chats and to Regina who really took ownership of her service along with the supervisor (sorry forgot her name) the cleaners said hello every time you passed them it’s lovely to know they are happy in their work Lovely to chat with Marco the manager of the hotel and appreciated his acknowledgment we returned to the hotel it’s lovely to be appreciated when you go back - sure we will be back it’s a wonderful place to have a holiday we recommend to anyone it’s very special 🌴🥂💖🍸🥰🐋🌟🍉🥥🍾🧘‍♀️🏊‍♀️☀️💋

Excellent food. All staff friendly professional and kind. Lovely room overlooking the ocean. Great gardens. Caring for nature is a big plus for us in seeking out a hotel. Given serious decline of nature, insects pollinators etc. Great to see no sign of insecticides in or outside of the room. All in all a fab hotel

This boutique hotel is amazing and we were so happy to have selected it among various other options (even of higher category) as we wanted a relaxed, cozy and off-the-beaten-track property. And our expectations were not only met but totally over-exceeded with stunning views on the pristine Indian ocean, a marvelous white sand beach with palm trees and granite stones, well your postcard image of Seychelles. This was topped by extremely friendly staff, attentive service and delicious food (everyday a different menu) accompanied by exotic signature cocktails. Definitely the right choice and we hope we can come back soon!

We were there for the 3rd time. This time we choose to stay 10 nights. Before, we thought that this hotel was one of the best in Seychelles, now we are sure it is the best. The main problem that was before = wifi, is now solved and working perfectly. They also changed the chef and the food is even better than it was before. Dessert are wonderful. Service is five stars…special thanks to Bernadette and Paboda that made many dinners very memorable for us. Rooms are very nice and bed very comfortable. The view is beautiful. The sea and the beach are also very good. You can reach Victoria by bus in 15 mn. The airport is 30-40 mn away by taxi (around 40€). You can also rent a car with delivery and pick up in the hotel for 40€/day in rent-a-car-seychelles.net. Takamaka rum distillery and beaches Grand Anse and Takamaka must be seen. What to say more ! Luxury is to feel alone and like at home with perfect food, services and atmosphere. This is what we found there and we are already waiting next year to come back. Thanks again to all the team.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful and i would like to give a special mention to Francesca from the gardening team for being so helpful and friendly. She was a treat to meet and showed us to the smaller beach. The other hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

Amazing location, good staff, clean rooms, delicious food, nice beach and pool along with the bar.exceptional service provided by the team From the day of checking to the day of wedding with great gesture of having free coupon of drinks, 20% discount on spa treatment,romantic dinner. On wedding day platter of fruits and sparkling wine were the best of the best. Thank you for entire team.

The property was so beautiful and right on the beach. Dinner was overpriced for the quality, but the breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We came to Carana Beach for 10 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was pure bliss. We had a sea front chalet without a pool but the view was incredible so we didn't want to upgrade to a pool room and risk being further back from the sea. The main pool was so beautiful and quiet anyway. All of the staff are extremely professional, however the friendliest was definitely Bilal from breakfast. He certainly made our stay even more enjoyable. We got a lovely fruit platter and bottle of fizz delivered to the room as it was our honeymoon and also received 20% of spa treatments, which was a nice touch! The beach is stunning, however it is very wavy at this time of year so something to consider if you are hoping for a peaceful swim. We found that the waves were much calmer about 20 -30 mins down the west cost. The rooms are wonderful, perfectly clean and modern. The bed is possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on and I very much enjoyed relaxing on the day-bed on the balcony watching the sunrise. 4 bottles of water were provided daily so we rarely had to top up. The location of the hotel is very secluded, there is nothing around the hotel at all which is great if you want complete relaxation. We did want to venture out occasionally and so we asked reception to book us a taxi, and asked them what we should expect to pay. After making friends with some locals we quickly realised that the taxi had been over charging us significantly and so we felt very let down by the hotel. There are certainly tourist rates and local rates everywhere you go. The hotel told us it is 400 rupees into Beau Vallon when this should infact be 150-200rupees. From then on, kind locals offered to book our taxis for us or we got the bus instead (10 rupees each) which is vastly different. The bus stop is directly outside of the hotel, but they are fairly infrequent. The Seychelles is very quiet anyway so no matter where we went there wasn't much going on after 6pm. This is just the nature of the island. Finally, the restaurant was quite good but I wouldn't say it was excellent. It was very expensive and the food was average. We were B&B so it was the same menu at lunch and dinner which felt quite limited. If we wanted the half board option in the evening it was 900 rupees which again is super expensive. Overall, we did have a wonderful peaceful stay. The location is idyllic, rooms great and staff attentive however if you want to enjoy evenings out etc, the Seychelles probably isn't the best place for you.
