I took the amtrak to St Louis and the Metra to the hotel and that was a quick, smooth way to get there. But once I did, it was a black hole. I arrived in need of a phone charger and cigarettes. Had to door dash both to me because there was nothing in safe walking distance. It's like a little island of safe - high fences and security on site - in a sea of unsafe. At least as far as I could tell.
I got there early, around 1, hoping to check in and get to a meeting scheduled for 2-6. Clerk told me I couldn't check in till 3. Thankfully the woman next to her took over and 30 seconds later I'm holding a key. But I was pretty angry with the question of whether it was possible for me to go early or not. It either is or it is not, they're either is the room available or there is not. It shouldn't be luck of the draw with whomever happens to check you in.

This was a good way to stay somewhere to travel on the Metro to go downtown St. Louis. The hotel is dated, there was nowhere to eat at the hotel or ****** in the morning. Not even wrapped muffins or coffee on a Sunday morning. But for the right price it is a good place to crash.

The staff was super friendly. Our room was a good size, but had a few issues. Our sink pipe was not connected properly so water spewed everywhere on the floor, toilet wasn’t on the floor correctly either, carpet stains/wall stains, but other than that - for one night, I’m not complaining too much. Informed staff to check pipe because my boyfriend reconnected it and they were very friendly about it and sincere.

Filthy carpet, TV didn’t work, food in the food court at the ****** was horrible, DJ in the ****** foyer was so loud that we struggled to order food in the food court and guest noises all hours of the night.
