Chippewa Hotel Waterfront

I highly recommend The Chippewa Hotel. The prices are far more reasonable than the Grand and the accommodations and service are top notch. We had a two bedroom suite with a balcony looking over the harbor, and it was wonderful. A cute living area with comfortable chairs and sofa, a little kitchen with fridge and microwave, one bedroom with two queen beds, and one with one queen bed. All very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was incredible, especially the front desk people who could not do enough for us. And...it's right in the middle of the main street, so shops, restaurants, grocery store and carriage rides are right at your doorstep. What more could you want? You won't be disappointed.

This is the only negative review I have ever written about a hotel. I made a reservation months in advance of our arrival. 3 days prior to our arrival I had to cancel due to a medical condition with which my wife came down with. These uncaring people could not care less. They charged me for the two nights we had reserved since we did not cancel in time. I would never stay at a place like this.

Our stay at the Chippewa Hotel was excellent in every way. I've stayed at The Grand Hotel previously, but really prefer the Chippewa Hotel now for many reasons. You are in the center of the action and can get to places to eat, shops, carriage rides, and the by just walking out the door. The rooms facing the main street are quiet and comfortably decorated to provide relaxation and a happy ambience. The views kept us entertained people-watching. The patio dining on the harbor was good, and The Pink Pony bar is a must visit. The service at the front desk was friendly and professional, and we appreciated the luggage service from the ferry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Absolutely gorgeous view from the third floor balcony- bridge, bay, boats coming in as well as the large hot tub on the premises. Beds were deliciously comfortable, decor fun, and employee’s friendly. Recommend to anyone who wants to have a great time on Mackinaw Island close to everything and walking distance to greater downtown area.

The suite we had was fantastic! Lots of room, comfy beds, plenty of towels, great balcony to watch the sunrise or watch the boats come into the marina or from the mainland. TV in the living room and bedroom. A bit dated, but clean and very comfortable. Convenient location and we loved the restaurant had breakfast, lunch and dinner. We did not use the pool or hot tub but it's available for guests. We will definitely be back. A few things could use attention - the lighting over the really tall sink was pretty inadequate. Hard for my husband to see to shave and for me to put on makeup. Nice shower, but the curtain need to be longer to keep the water in the shower area. Overall, great stay!

Great Hotel. I strongly recommend your select one of their Harbor Front Rooms. You have a great view of the harbor and the boats and ferries coming and going . The Harbor Front Rooms include a bedroom and seperate living room. The service throughout the hotel is excellent from the porters to the front desk personnel to the house keeping staff.

Always a great experience. Very friendly staff. Excellent food at the Pink Pony. We have stayed here for many years and will return again in the Spring. Location is very convenient to everything. Love the Main Street side so we can hear the horses as they go up and down the street.

We visit Chippewa house yearly. Bart and his staff are always welcoming and friendly. They are so sweet to remember special occasions from year to year. The views from the harbor view suites are unforgettable and listening to the live music on the balcony is great! We love our time at Chippewa House. ❤️

Not only soft as I like them, but as many as I wanted! We slept soundly and comfortably. The food and staff at the Pink Pony attached to the Chippewa os wonderful as well. My husband and I came here numerous times in the past 30 years and would not co sider anywhere else.
