🤢 Our room was 402. The layout is good but the bed smelled really really bad. The sheet wasnt washed properly. The smell was very dirty as if someone vomited in the bed. My boyfriend had some buttons next day on his back. So be careful, beds are not clean. We couldn't sleep. We woke up at 5 am to take a shower and wash our bodies.
We talked to the receptionist about it but unfortunately our stay was only for one night so they couldnt do anything about it. Therefore I dont recommend this hotel if the hygiene is important for you.
The hotel deserves a perfect score! And the staff from Reception to Bolero restaurant a 6 our of 5! The friendly and informative greeting we received at check-in was superb. The bus tickets for Kriens/Pilatus is included for all guests and close by. The receptionist went even as far as walking us to the parking we had reserved (22CHF/day--worth it). We had room number 611 with a bay window on the top floor and it was very comfortable. They thought of everything from coffee machine to all small details a traveler might need. The location is very central!
Very nice hotel just across the street from the Vierwaldstatter see(Lake Lucerne) Pros: Great staff easy check in Great views from lake facing rooms, easy parking. Ok value for the area, comfortable bed. Cons: There was construction going on at the time of our stay. The rooms have no A//C, not a deal breaker but the room was sealed up tight and that first blast of stifling heat when we opened the door was unexpected. But they do give have a large fan unfortunately the cord would not allow the fan to be placed in the terrace door to help cool off the room. The breakfast buffet selection was plentiful but the cooked foods were merely OK at best.
ผผู้เข้าพักI’m not going to say something is excellent if it was not that way for me. Tastes are variable and some Americans might not like the hotel. It’s very European. A lot of attention to conservation of water and electric. A green operation. I like that. The hotel is right next to the train station and a short walk to the river and Old Town. Rooms are small but tasteful and adequate. They are air conditioned. Not all hotels offer that in Switzerland. When booking you will be offered additional amenities. Take the breakfast for $20 a day but don’t pay extra for a balcony. The staff was friendly and excellent and ready to do anything you need. Again not always the way in Switzerland. Lastly, eat at the hotel restaurant. It is Ticonese Italian and it is excellent. Not to be missed.
ผผู้เข้าพักStayed for 2 nights at this hotel, we booked the room for 4 peoples and we came with 5 peoples instead because we booked it through an app, i intend to pay the additional bf and charges at the spot. All the staff are friendly and a lot of smile except one, which i guess is the boss. In the morning when we are going to have bf i talk to the receptionist or the boss about paying for an extra charge for another person. He look at me with anger and said he is pissed of me because of having 5 peoples instead of 4 allowed . Im willing to pay for an extra charge and asked for his help to find me another room but his reply really surprised me, he said he is fully booked and insisted one of my family member to move out today, he said it is not his problem. Well this is something new for me, a hotel with a boss acting as receptionist, and a hospitality industry that evicting a customer who is willing to pay. In the end he deactivated my key card and make my mother and my wife abandoned in the lobby waiting for me to talk to the boss to reactivate the key card. When i go talk to him ,he already waiting with another key for another room . He said i have a single room available for you to rent and it will cost you Chf 120 for one night. Why dont he said that in the morning when I talk to him ? Is he did it to show me that he is in power ? Well the question is, is it legal for him to lock my room ,which i had pay in full, just to make me come to him, instead of him talk to me and ask me to pay extra ? So many drama in altstadt krone hotel. Now the reviews Lobby is minimalist Room is standard Bathroom empty shampoo dispenser Breakfast standard selection but the taste is delicious Location is the best Hotel staff is friendly And Drama is plenty
An excellent opportunity to let your hair down. The place has a beautiful view. There are hiking trails to several places including Mount Pilatus in the neighbourhood. Loved the breakfast. It was par extraordinare! A must do offbeat location despite being a little far from Lucerne
We stayed at Galaxy Apartment - or I should say one of the Galaxy apartments for a couple of days. With three people, the falt was a little bit packed to be honest. The bathroom is very small. One of the things which disturbed me the most was the noise at night. People seem to come and go whenever they like and make a lot of noise (scream/shout) in the stairway. I don't like to be woken up at 2am during my vacation. While having TV is not that important, let's note that it was totally impossible to watch any program for more than 5 minutes, because the connection would break down. Additionally, the recent heatwave makes the flat quite hot and stuffy. We had to leave windows open during the night. That was probably for the best because trying to close the shutters was yielding such a noise. I thought they would break. Fortunately, the street was very quiet. Finally, they should provide more information regarding the parking. I think this is quite the minimum. We were really struggling to understand how to get the daily ticket.
