When we checked into hotel, we weren’t greeted or welcomed. Instead, the front desk employee barked, “Name?” Information was not shared about luggage carts, fitness room, etc. We unloaded car, carried luggage to room, and then returned to car to move to garage. When we returned to room, our key card would not open the door. Back to the unhelpful front desk, back to room…still can’t get in. The front desk employee proceeds to tell us there is absolutely nothing she can do. Left with no other choice, we are forced to wait for the nighttime security guard who can get us in. We had left everything in the room….phones, medications, coats, etc. We were left killing time waiting for the security guard. When he arrived, he was able to charge the door enough to open it ..allowing us to receive our property. He reported that the front desk employee could have done this herself but “shes too lazy.” We were livid. At one point when we asked her for help, we interrupted her Facetiming a friend and enjoying a KitKat bar. Give me a break! We gave feedback to manager who promised follow up but never followed through. Avoid this IHG hotel…..it does not live up to the quality weve come to expect.
