Ok but definitely not a 4-5⭐️. Seems like not much open on Sundays. Both bar n grills closed Ya!! That’s why we stopped here was because of location and that a Bar n Grill was next door. No more Limon. Heading north to Brush. This was 4th time for Limon. Done. The room was musty and damp smelling. I can’t see the great ratings in the room we got.

Quirky little place that is family-owned and well kept. Definitely not your modern chain stay! Is the decor “dated”? Maybe. But the cleanliness and pride taken in the ongoing operation of this old property is encouraging.
Bed was one of the more comfortable this trip (that included several hotels over 3000 miles). Room was very clean and facility in great shape.
If you are counting on “breakfast”, don’t get too excited for what Safari Inn offers. Their continental breakfast is done pre-packaged pastries, a Kureg, and some juice. We checked out a food truck before leaving town.

Sparkling clean. Not just spotless, but gleaming chrome fixtures. Even the caulk in the bathroom was perfect. Everything about the place says the owners care. So skip the fancy new chain hotels and give this place a try. The restaurant across the street was great, too. I grew up in Colorado, and like many visitors I focus on those mountains. They only occupy half the state, though. Give that prairie a look! HUGE vistas, antelope, birds, gorgeous rock outcroppings and pine trees. Skip the interstate too. The route from Limon to Castle Rock is stunning. At Kiowa’s water tower, on a clear day you can see everything from Pikes Peak to the Medicine Bow range in one sweeping panorama.

Tiny bathroom, no tub. Breakfast was skimpy, and they charged a fee for my wife. Room service opened the door in the morning without knocking.

My nephew had a tire flat on the highway and needed a night to stay. The worker at this lodging was kind and helpful. He said he would take care of my nephew and he made sure he was doing okay. My nephew said is room was real clean as well. They deserve 5 stars mainly do to attitude. If you need a hassle free place, this is it. Its not fancy but comfortable and stress free. If you get stuck in Limon, heres your place

Front desk night manager was accommodating beyond the call of duty of a very tired traveler clueless about backing up a trailer. Helped me park my rental truck and came out again when I couldn’t unlock my room. At 11:00 PM. Without complaint. Room was simple but spotless. Thanks.

This appears to be a facility built in the 50s but impeccably maintained. Our room was in virtually like-new condition - a credit to their housekeeping staff, the craftsmen who have completed updates, and the management. Would go out of my way to stay there again.
