Le Clos de Ligré

Beautiful (very large) house in the Chinon countryside. Hosted by Martine. A delightful, animated, charming and excellent English speaking French lady. She was very welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable and fun. She cooked a meal and served it under the huge illuminated garden tree at the front of the house. The food was so excellent and included a vegetarian dish. Locally wine and delicious deserts. Martine provides an excellent breakfast with options to eat inside or out in the garden. The pool is clean and a welcome pleasure when the sun becomes too hot! We loved our stay and would definitely recommend others to experience it. Martine is a true delight and one of the best hosts we have ever met 🌸

I highly recommend a visit to Chinon, France, and accommodations at Le Clos de Ligre, in Ligre, France. The owner and host, Martine Deschamps, was unbelievable. She accommodated us at the last minute, greeted us with a glass of wine and a snack, and made us feel completely comfortable in her beautiful home, a restored farmhouse amidst vineyards and flowers. The room was incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable. The delicious and plentiful breakfast was served in her beautiful dining room amidst antiques and lovely art and she greeted us with a smile and suggestions for daily itineraries each morning. We loved all of her suggestions - she was spot on! On our last night (we had originally planned on staying 1 evening but stayed 6 nights - only because she was booked for the seventh night) she hosted an elegant dinner that she had prepared from local market items for us. Dinner was such a treat. We dined with our other guests (two wonderful couples who we intend to stay in touch with and see again), enjoying many finely prepared courses and delicious wine from the local vineyard. We were so sad to leave, but we will certainly return to this enchanted place. Merci Martine for a memorable stay chez vous!

Our host, Martine, welcomed us warmly. The accommodations were rustic, beautiful and clean. We enjoyed a quiet stay, a lovely multi-course diner and good conversation with our host. The following morning, she prepared a delicious petit déjeuner. I would be quite happy to stay at Le Clos de Ligre when we visit France again!

Très belle endroit avec un très beau jardin. charmant,on est accueilli avec plaisir...... deux très belles chambres .. wifi, très belle salle de bain et avec la télévision .Le petit déjeuner sera pris dans le jardin..je recommande cette maison d' hôte .

On est rapidement gagnés par le charme de cette ancienne ferme vigneronne dont les prestations sont à la hauteur de l'accueil et du souci de l'hôtesse de répondre à votre demande et vous faire plaisir.
