"In a city where you can stay at another property for a fraction of the price and it would be better, or equivalent value, I would stay somewhere else. Property is pretty - garden, art, and furniture. Quality - The actual rooms, bed/bedding, towels, etc. for the price is not worth it. Bedding was super cheap. Showers didn’t drain well. Blinds didn’t fully close. Not 5-star hotel quality at all. - We paid $500+ a night (for the worst room on the property - blinds didn’t close, close to entrance / main building where many enter). Poor service: - We asked for water to make tea and they told us to get it from the bathroom sink in our room lol. - The restaurant experience was terrible - if you’re going to try and serve a unique dining experience you need servers who can “sell” the menu and the experience. They were nice but just really green. Didn’t explain anything on the menu (i.e this pasta is served cold, vs most pasta dishes that are served warm for a main dinner dish). Continually tried to push 50euro per glass of wine (even after saying we didn’t want wine). - Servers in the morning were lovely and the breakfast was a really nice buffet, probably the only thing worth your money, but if you’re like us, we don’t eat breakfast. We felt we had to try though just to justify our payment for the hotel. - The worst part is that we found and killed multiple spiders in our room. My boyfriend was mauled by spiders in our room at night. He woke up with at least 6 spider bites. We asked for something from first-aid. They gave him a spray to use and then told him they needed it back for emergencies! This was an emergency. They should have went to the pharmacy for him. We thought maybe just we were unlucky, but friends of ours stayed in an even more expensive suite and found ants all collected under a towel in the corner of their bathroom. Staff was nice but just didn’t know how to deliver a truly 5-star hotel experience, and we’ve had experience at other 5-star hotels. Save your money and stay somewhere"

"Beautiful place, very nicely renovated, we arrived (4 friends) without having a reservation - still we got a nice table in the “breakfast room”. The service and the food were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend - would be glad to try not only for lunch ( it also has rooms and a nice pool in the garden). "

"This property was beautiful, in the heart of the old town and with a great roof top pool to cool down in the Lecce heat. My only suggestion would be some pool towels around the pool and maybe a cocktail hour. "

"The hotel is next to the scenic spot, quaint and charming, with a view at every step. The service is also very considerate. They introduced us to the delicious restaurants around us after we checked in. It is in the ZTL area. If you drive, call in advance and they will send a text message to tell you where to pick you up."

"Service was outstanding. The hotel helped us tips, restaurant and beach club bookings. Breakfast was plentiful and we were kindly asked to help ourselves before the buffet shut. The pool is huge and heaven in the heat. We had a suite for the 4 of us. The building was 5 centuries old with huge ceilings. To top it off, the hotel is a stones throw away from the town centre. I highly recommend this hotel for exploring Lecce and Salento."

"This struggles to be a 4 star hotel on many levels. It's central location is perhaps the only positive aspect of this hotel. My sister and I were on a third floor room without a window, but a tiny skylight! NO FRESH AIR was possible- causing heat and humidity to gather in the room. This caused me to feel sick for three mornings in a row. Perhaps a health risk. We were forced to leave the door opened for extended periods of time to get frsh air circulating into the room. ALL front desk staff need training in Hospitality industry rather than playing with their mobile phones. No assistance was provided from any of this staff. A non existent welcome. The front desk staff had a disinterested attitude and displayed a lack of concern towards guests. Finally, we were given a swipe card for the door that didn't work. When we reported this to reception, we were asked - Why do you want to visit Lecce? SEEK AN ALTERNATIVE HOTEL IF STAYING IN LECCE."

"Owner is extremely unwelcoming, very different from everywhere else we have stayed. House keeper came knocking and asked what we needed in our room. We did not need anything and told her and thanked her for asking. We came back to the room and all of our things were moved in our room even though we specifically told her not to. Even the bedroom door was closed as we did not want anyone going in there. We cancelled our last night stay an almost a week in advance due to the train strike and unforeseen circumstances. They wouldn’t even give me the time of day when she checked in about the refund. We were told they would check with the manager but when we messaged him politely checking up on it…. No reply, no one at the front desk. I’m a paying customer and all we wanted was a yes or a no. Even though this was a “non smoking room” we came back to our hotel to the stench of cigarettes twice, and found an ashtray with many cigarettes in the window. Just avoid this place and go somewhere else. We stayed in room 7."
