"The hotel itself is very nice, and the valet and bellhop staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is excellent, right on the Riverwalk, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure; however, if you’re tall, the shower head placement is not ideal—my husband is 5’10” and had to duck to use it. We would consider staying again, but on our last morning the toilet clogged and overflowed onto the floor. This was frustrating, especially since very little toilet paper had been used. Most people would consider a toilet overflow an urgent issue that requires immediate attention. We called for assistance, but no one ever came. It seemed as though staff assumed they could wait since we had a couple of hours before checkout, which was disappointing. As a result, my husband had to go to the ground floor to use the restroom, and we had to navigate around toilet water on the bathroom floor while getting ready."

"The Riverwalk Plaza was a beautiful, historical hotel. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful with all questions and concerns. It’s walking distance to the Riverwalk which is a HUGE bonus. There is also onsite dining options. I had the best blueberry latte I have ever had at the cafe on location. The next time I find myself in San Antonio, I will definitely be staying here again!"

"The hotel is located within ＜10 min from River walk, and located very close to the convention center. It is a bit far from the area with many restaurants. The room has a specific artistic taste. You may like it, if you like Texas. It was spaceous, but a bit noisy. The cleanliness can be improved. Staffs are very friendly. Overall, it is a nice hotel at a low price."

"The Maveric was very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need and is located within walking distance to the Riverwalk and many restaurants. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bianca went above and beyond on helping us get an extra room for my Father and gave him a key fob to help him with access to the hotel and his room. She was so friendly and treated us like Family. The bar tender at the lounge in the hotel was super nice. They also have a comedy club in the hotel. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends and family."
