first off, i booked a king room but was given 2 queen beds instead, they said you don’t always get that when you book through a 3rd party because they do not know what rooms are actually available, second, i requested that my room be cleaned everyday that i stayed, but was not, i had to go downstairs to ask for new towels 2 nights in a row, on the 3rd night i finally asked the front desk and they showed me a small sign that said they do not clean until your 4th day of stay, they can do a quick refresh if you ask before 9pm the night before, lastly, i was charged $41.73 on top of what i paid to Trip.com, i called to ask about it a few days after my trip when i saw it on my credit card, they said it was an amenities charge for each of the days i stayed, whaat? the only amenity i used was the elevator, never have i ever been charged for anything other than the price of the hotel, needless to say i will not be staying here again and will not recommend it to anyone
It feels like living in a fraternity house. On Friday and Saturday nights, the 5th floor rooftop has disco parties which you’ll hear the music in your room until 2am if you live on the 4th or 3th floor. The staffs were nice in trying to help when I raised issue with noise. I had noise cancelling headphones on the whole night with taking melatonin so that I can fall asleep. They also gave me a room in the basement (lower level). The music doesn’t go there but there is a lot of water noise there. They had ear plugs ready when I asked them for help so it’s not a problem that they’re willing to fix. I would recommend this place to prioritise their guests than the bar visitors. Other than noise, things were pretty good though. I guess this hotel is good for young people. Parking on the streets could be difficult though.
The room is spacious and even has a kitchen, although the fittings are a bit dated. Overall clean and homely feel though. The free breakfast is great - lots of options and well cooked. This is a very decent hotel for the price, if you don’t mind a bit of a walk from the nearest metro (around 8 mins) or if you have a car.
Great location - same building as the metro station is and within 10 minute ride to DC Centre. Clean hotel. No frills. Smaller rooms only due to a large couch in the room which can be moved. Lots of eateries in the neighborhood and across the hotel including Trader Joes and 7 eleven. Also a restaurant and a bar in the hotel.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel is not your typical dimension but it was clean and the mattress + pillows are one of the best I have slept on. The location was good as it was close to Metro, White House, Lincoln memorial, and Georgetown (walking around 20 mins). There is also a Metro station close by. However, it’s far away from the convention center though, you will need to take a taxi or Uber to get there.
The one suggestion I have is to provide kettle for hot water in the room as well as bottle waters. Most of the reception reps are very helpful and cheerful, only the grave yard shift reception lady is not in a good mood (I know it’s grave yard shift…but). The elevator needs some improvement as well since it’s very slow… (I’m not sure it’s because of the elevator manufacturer or because of the old building).
ผผู้เข้าพักOur recent stay at the Residence Inn Washington, DC National Mall was fantastic for our group of 6! The One Bedroom Two Queen Suite with Sofa Bed provided plenty of space for everyone to stay comfortably. The suite was perfectly sized with two queen beds in the separate bedroom and a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area. The spacious layout allowed all six of us to move around comfortably without feeling cramped, especially with the separate living and sleeping areas.
Location: 5/5 - Prime spot near the National Mall
Cleanliness: 5/5 - Everything was spotless and well-maintained
Service: 5/5 - Staff was accommodating
Facilities: 5/5 - All amenities exceeded expectations
The suite proved to be an ideal choice for our group of 6. The queen-sized beds, including the sofa bed, provided comfortable sleeping arrangements for everyone. The living area offered enough space for us to gather and socialize, making it a perfect base for our DC adventure. For anyone traveling with a group of 6, I can confidently say this suite configuration works great, offering both comfort and convenience in an excellent location.
CChristianI arrived a bit earlier, but my room was not ready. Okay, I can understand that.
Going to the bell desk they tell me I need to pay when I get my luggage. Once I got my luggage, no one asked me to pay.
I had a breakfast included but was leaving too early: of course, they do not provide lunch boxes, although they do sell them.
The service is rather bad for a 300$ room.
ผผู้เข้าพักGood hotel. The location was ideal for us, a walk away from a lot of the tourist attractions. There was a lot of homeless and I wouldnt have liked to have been out late We choose the hotel because of the outdoor pool. We managed to get in it but it is very small (6 people is a squish). Comfy bed. The breakfast was good. There were queues but the signs tell you when the quieter times are - so we were fine. I would stay again
Absolutely loved staying at the Churchill Hotel! It is in a beautiful neighborhood. Close to DuPont Circle and the Metro. Very safe neighborhood. There is a separate area in the room with a desk. Actually, large enough to use as a dressing room! We will definitely be going back and staying at the Churchill.
