The hotel was sparkling clean and well appointed in every necessary detail. We stayed there as opposed to staying at a hotel on the beach. The price was a good deal less and parking was free. Brandye took good care of us. She helped us out with places to eat (and save) and treated us like family. Luis helped us with directions and general questions. The beach was a five minute drive and parking was a lot less expensive at a meter ($7.00 for a couple of hours) than at a hotel. All in all, this was one of our best stays ever. Thank you Residence Inn.
We did not originally plan to stay here. We had booked a VRBO. It turned out to be a disaster. We had to look for a new place to stay on the evening we arrived. We called the 800 number for Marriott. They were very helpful in finding this location not too far from where we were. From the time of our arrival until check out 5 days later we had a fantastic stay. Latonya at the front desk was very helpful during the day. So was Adam the night agent. The hotel is very clean and conveniently located not far from the beach, stores and restaurants. Everyday of our stay breakfast was provided and well maintained by Bryan and his staff. The area was always clean and well stocked, despite having a baseball and cheerleading team staying at the same time. We took full advantage of the BBQ grills outside. Latanya would help us to get the BBQ box they provide at the front desk. It had seasonings, spatulas, oven mitts, tongs, everything you might need. We also used the kitchen to prepare meals at the hotel. This worked out great and made it easier to accommodate food allergies and picky eaters. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you to the great staff for making our stay so pleasurable.
Went to Daytona Beach to visit a relative. However, the water there was very high and rough, because of offshore storm activity. So upon leaving I headed to the other side of the state. Using various apps I chose the Holiday Inn Express Clearwater/US 19N for my overnight stay. I'd seen it many times before, when I visited the beach. Location- This is at the intersection of Highway 60 and US 19N, just across the bay from Tampa. Distance from the Tampa airport is just about 13 minutes over the causeway. Distance from Clearwater Beach Pier 60, is only about 10 to 12 minutes in light traffic. Places to Eat-The restaurant provides a hot free breakfast in the morning. There are other restaurants in the area such as Perkins, Hooters, Culvers, Village Inn, and more. Parking lot-Is not really super big. There were only a few spaces left when I arrived at about midnight. Most of the spaces were behind the building, too far from the entrance to be visible. So I squeezed in a tight spot on the side of the building. The room I got was huge with the bed in one section, and the other furnishings in another. It was clean. However, I've noticed with it and a few other HIE locations, that they could definitely use an update. The bed was more than sufficient and I had no problems sleeping. The rate was very reasonable, just over $100+ and I felt I got my money's worth. The main thing I would say is that it is time to renovate the rooms, but other than that, they served the purpose. It is absolutely a great place to stay, so that you can get to the beach before the crowds arrived.
After 2 awful stays at Choice Hotel properties earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised with this stay. First off I was warmly greeted by Crystal (I think she spells is differently). She was very friendly and efficient. You could tell she liked her job and took pride in it. My room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. This property has been around quite a while but it is very well maintained. They have a bar on premises along with a full breakfast which has been rare at Choice property since Covid. Also there are plenty or choice very close for pretty much anything you want to eat or do. At check out I was greeted by Crystal with the same enthusiasm. I will definitely stay here on my next business trip to the area
While researching hotels, I visited this property a month before my arrival to make sure the accommodation would work for my purposes. At that time, I was shown a specific layout for the 1 bedroom queen beds configuration. The front desk attendant specified the description of the room that I should book when I made the reservation.
I made the reservation based on their information and the room I was shown.
A month later when I check in, I am given a room half the size of the one I was shown. I tell the front desk that it was not what I was told and I am unhappy with the room and I need the bigger room. The gas let me and told me that they had already given me the biggest room they had. I'm not kidding when it was literally half the size of the one I previewed.
I walked the front desk attendance to the door of the room I was shown and was assured that those rooms are the same size and they couldn't be shown to me at that time because they were occupied.
I had to cancel most of the event I had planned due to lack of space and lost revenue I would have earned giving a workshop to paying pupils.
Complete bait and switch. Avoid this property.
The hotel itself is just ok. It's generally pretty scruffy. It has a VERY high occupancy rate and worn and grimy furniture is a product of that turn-over. With the exception of the manager the staff is especially friend, helpful and professional. The breakfast is quite good for a budget hotel. I had a suite and it was very roomy. The towels were plentiful and fluffy. The bed was firm. The sofa and chair were both ”well-used”. Separate semi-kitchenette counter, sink, and refrigerator. The refrigerator was missing some interior parts i.e. a bar on the door and the drain so water accumulated in the bottom of the frig. I've stayed there twice and would again because it's reasonably clean and.the price is great for St. Pete area.
Let’s start with the positive: the hotel’s location is perfect with the beach directly across the street, the rooms are spacious and we had a partial ocean view. The shower was pretty small compared to the rest of the size of the bathroom. Being a new hotel everything was nice and clean. We had 1 appetizer and drink which were both good. Negative: There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO customer/guest service at this hotel. For them to be boutique hotel in the luxury space they 100% dropped the ball at every chance!! We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and I called the hotel to see if they would do anything for us and straight up said no we don’t! At check in they failed to share that they do the sunset champagne toast. We asked through their messaging system for extra towels which never came after 2.5 hrs and had to ask again. As a Hilton gold member we get $15/person per day credit for breakfast but the 2nd night of our stay the credit was not applied and have since followed up twice and still no response or update. We asked for a simple 1hr late checkout again was abruptly denied that request. With all these guest service issues I asked to speak with the GM and was told I would get a call in 1-2 business days and again that also hasn’t happened. Personally for the price of this hotel I’d stay at one of the many other luxury hotels in Clearwater beach that are in the same price point that offer even a little guest service.
DDebbie JThis is a hidden gem at the end of Gulfview Blvd. We haven’t visited the Gulf beaches of FL for a number of years and decided to celebrate my retirement from 33 years as a classroom teacher and to spend our 25th Anniversary here for the week. This propert is walking distance to a market, beach shops , a liquor store and many restaurant options. The small private beach has white powdery sand and beautiful views. You can easily go from beach to the pool. The beach attendants, Mark and Al, couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful when renting our chairs daily. Al would check in to see if we needed drinks and brought us water from the bar. The Cabana Grill had great drinks and provided bar service on beach and by the pool. Greg at the front desk was so very helpful and the manager spoke to us frequently throughout our stay like she knew us and that we were regulars. Our housekeeper Sandra was so friendly and provided great service as well. As Diamond members, we can say without a doubt that this was one of our best stays at a Hampton Inn. We will certainly return!!!
While out at the beach we met the resort’s Beach Ambassador, Mark, who was very engaging, full of stories and just a great guy. He stopped by several times if there was anything we needed and kept us updated on what was going in. When you go out to their beach look for this guy!
TTim OI have visited many places in Clearwater and this place is one of the top 3 I would highly recommend. Mel was great at the private beach service. Great place great times. Thank you Mel for your pleasant professionalism and the tiki bar girls are fabulous. I also appreciate Tony and Greg and Sal at the front desk. My favorite is Terry who also works the private beach. Come check this place out. 5 star
SScenic17963721667Manager and staff were very accommodating and professional. Room was clean, comfortable, and very affordable. Great value and price. There were multiple fast food restaurants nearby: McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, and a fee others were all within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
