The room is spacious with new equipment. Everything is good. The breakfast is just a normal breakfast with nasi lemak, noodles and egg station. Location is nearby with city. Parking area is big too. The only thing, they dont provide thootbrush and thootpaste.

It is a budget hotel so let's get started. Simple modern lobby with self- check in kiosks. They have standby staff to assist. Both staff i met are very prompt in resolving my check in issues (related to Trip's aggregator system rather than hotel itself). Modern clean bright tiled toilet , thank god no dirty walls or no flaky epoxy floors. Mattress, pillows felt new and good quality. The mgmt thinks thoroughly on the comfort especially for the travelling families. 1) They provide complementary bread, 2) 888 3-in-1 coffee and tea (very decent and better than nescafe) 3) They even provided a common iron which shows they know the segment they are serving ie outstation families coming back for weddings etc. Surrounded by ample Chinese restaurants which opened for lunch and dinner (operational hours are typical of smaller towns)

I recently stayed at Swiss Avenue Hotel Sungai Petani with my family and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is strategically located, close to many restaurants, shops, and popular attractions around Sungai Petani, making it very convenient for getting around. The check-in and check-out processes were quick and smooth, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Although the hotel is a bit old, it offers many good facilities. The swimming pool is large and well-maintained, and the kids’ pool is especially attractive for children. One unique feature is the large screen near the pool area, which provides entertainment for guests while they relax. Food prices within the hotel are reasonable and not overly expensive. The hotel also has a squash court and a gym, both of which are available for guests to use. Breakfast was enjoyable. There is an egg station where fresh eggs and omelettes are prepared, and the omelettes were especially delicious. While the breakfast spread is not very extensive, the food quality and taste are good. For families, the breakfast add-on for children aged 5–12 years is reasonably priced at RM18. Overall, we had a good stay and were satisfied with the service and facilities provided. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Sungai Petani.

I stayed here while attending a running event in Sungai Petani. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of the ETS station. Although the hotel is somewhat dated, the bed was comfortable and I had a restful night before the race. The bathroom, however, would benefit from some upgrades. I dined at the hotel’s restaurant, but service was rather slow, with both my order and those of other guests taking a long time to be served.

Overall, I would say this hotel offers reasonable value for money. The location is convenient, the room is clean, and the surrounding environment was acceptable during my stay. If you are looking for an affordable hotel near the town area and do not expect a high-end hotel experience, this is still a decent option. I would recommend requesting a room that is not facing the nearby swallow-raising shop if you are sensitive to noise
