Absolutely awful hotel: not recommended. Housed in an oppressive, huge, old military barracks building. The entrance is in the courtyard, which is also surrounded by sterile, glassy, abandoned-looking new buildings. The rooms are really tiny and musty, the hotel corridors look like hospital corridors. We were horrified at breakfast on Wednesday July 20: I had gone downstairs for breakfast before my husband and had put some cheese, bread and juice and jam on our table for both of us. My husband arrived shortly after me. When we wanted to eat breakfast comfortably, the receptionist came to our table and disturbed us while we were eating and told us very unkindly that my husband was now no longer allowed to sit or eat because he was a few minutes late. One felt like in a kindergarten or at a military roll call. We were really stunned and shocked! Avoid this hotel. The only positive point: the blonde somewhat chubby receptionist, who had welcomed us very friendly and gave us valuable excursion tips.
Bref. Cheveux ou poil dans la bouilloire. Photos à l'appui si besoin. J'ai vraiment hésité à dormir dans cet établissement. La nuit de vaux même pas 5 euros. Hôtel Horrible en propreté et en hygiène !
We stayed one night at The Continental Hotel on our way home from a European road trip. We booked a package which included dinner and a 1/2 bottle of champagne. At dinner we were told we could choose from the 50euro menu but we chose the 30euro menu instead as we preferred the menu options. When we got the bill we saw that they had deducted the difference of 2 x @20euros from the cost of the red wine that we had ordered as well which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. We also got a discount on the cost of the public car park which is right next to the hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and we would certainly stay again. (The tarte tatin on the 30 euro menu was delicious!)
We booked this hotel as it was new and looked really nice and Radisson have a great reputation, we had also booked a table for dinner at 7.30, confirmed by email. Parking is in an adjacent multi storey. When we arrived at 12.30 we were informed room ready at 3.00 which is the norm, however we were told they couldn’t let us eat that night as they had a large group booked and there wasn’t room for us!!! This hotel is in a new build area and not close to the city centre, the staff did not offer us any assistance in finding an alternative for dinner, so we decided we wouldn’t stay as planned, the staff didn’t seem to care we were upset, so we left. I have to point out we weren’t charged for the cancellation which at least was something, but it all felt very unprofessional for a large international company like Radisson.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe rooms are quiet and well-equipped, beds are comfortable. In the bathroom the toilet is very low and getting into the bath is quite a challenge - and when you do finally make it you discover that you cannot teach the soap dispenser. which is high up on the wall, a fine position if you want a shower, but otherwise ... On the negative side, although there are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, no milk is provided and has to be requested at the bar, which is easier said than done when the bar is busy. The self-service breakfast is excellent, with everything you could possibly want, but I cannot recommend the dinner experience - you are expected to order via an app on the table, so if you don't have a smart phone you have to wait for ages until someone finally brings a menu, and the food, when it arrives, is very average and definitely not served with a smile.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis hotel is excellent value for money and great for a stop off on our way through France. There is underground and secure on site parking, the rooms are basic but clean. The staff were really polite and friendly. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the main centre of town but it’s a pleasant walk by the train station. We would definitely stay again!
CC. GellingsSimple, and practical for a short stay. Quiet surroundings. Parking near the entrance, breakfast in the main building, which was acceptable. Bathroom had a bath and shower in it. The glass to avoid splashing doesn't work, since it is far too small and the bathroom floor gets wet and one risks falling.
In all not a bad hotel for the price charged.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis was ideal location for central Reims. Clean, convenient and reasonably priced. Would stay again! The apartment was spacious and had good amenities. The building was secure and parking was free. We had access to a garage or on road parking.
LlowryeppExcellent location - 10 minutes to station & trams, few moments to restaurants, cafes etc. Hotel small but tidy, quirky, clean - art in rooms. Quiet at night, on 4th floor. Breakfasts fine. Staff helpful. Minor issues only - ran out of apricot jam (in France); milk powder in coffee machine had chocolate mixed in - so cafe au lait etc were mocha style. Some reviews are really critical - but try some French, smile, remember the price. Thoroughly recommended for a few days in a very interesting city.
