Cambria Hotel Lake Placid - Lakeside Resort

Overall we were very happy with the quality of the room, cleanliness and service. There were only a couple of things....1) when booking the room, we thought we had booked one with a balcony, but only specific rooms came with that feature. Although there is an open balcony on each floor so no biggee just would have been nicer if it had been clear. 2) There was a staffing issue. We had planned on a later dinner at the hotel restaurant, only to find that the front desk had not told us the restaurant was closed due to an event and lack of staff. (Would have been much easier to know this in the morning as we would have adjusted.) 3) You have to request housekeeping. Again for a short stay...did not matter to us, but worth knowing in advance as it is not common. Beautiful location...extremely clean...Very quiet (And that says a lot since the 3 days we stayed it was packed with Alpine ski teams (which would normally be very loud.). Indoor pool has late hours which is convenient, is very clean and lovely. (Lovely after a long day of hiking...)

Excellent location, free parking, large rooms. The only in the room is the old air conditioning system, very noisy and if you sleep next to it it gets very windy. I think this will be a big problem in the summer

Great brand new hotel. Pool was really nice. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Tons of parking. Hotel sat up high so the views were nice. Our room was small, but very nice. Very modern. The shower was my favorite, huge with a terrific shower head. The bed was super comfortable, I slept great both nights. Only thing I missed was a clock in the room. We really enjoyed our stay. Super close to downtown. We’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel is super new and modern. Pool is very nice. Staff was super accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything is brand new. Modern Design. Bedrooms are great. Lobby gathering / dining area can be very noisy. Note: Room cleaning service is optional. Needs to be requested if you want it.

Excellent in all areas. We will be staying there regularly. We loved this place; it is very new and modern but it really feels like home. Very comfortable beds. We loved the decor, especially the photo wallpaper in the room. The staff is amazingly friendly but respectful. You will remember their nice smiles. The restaurant offers breakfast that would hold you. Be prepared. It is not a breakfast snack.

Very spacious parking lot. The room is very modern and pretty spacious. Maybe more often the presence of a room service.

Hotel is new, clean but poorly sound proofed paper thin walls led to almost sleepless night, hearing next door party and someone snoring all night.

Hotel was a great place to stay for my family, right in town and minutes from Whiteface. Kids loved the pool and amenities, John at the front desk even helped me fix my microspikes! Looking forward to coming back!
