This is a superb place in a beautiful, quiet, rural setting and far exceeded expectations. The spacious suite was decorated with taste and attention to detail, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a delight. We will definitely be back..

WHAT A PLACE!!!! We specifically traveled up to Cherbourg to stay here and it EXCEEDED our expectations! We had a huge room (actually rooms) in this beautiful huge home. Not sure it even should be called a home, but it was beautiful and massive. Everything was SO stylish and every detail thought through. Clean, renovated and comfortable. Very quiet. The breakfast was truly amazing and we were well cared for. The owners were SO warm, welcoming and caring from the moment we drove up to when we left. I can't recommend this place enough .... it was great.

Everything about our stay, for three days in June 2022, was excellent. The Manor, set in calm and tranquil gardens, has been beautifully and sympathetically restored, each room having interesting and comfortable furniture. The bedrooms are lovely with fabulous bathrooms and there is an attention to detail everywhere. If you can manage it, stay in the large suite as it is really something special. Michel and Emmanuel are welcoming and excellent hosts, the breakfasts are fabulous and nothing was too much for them to help make our stay the best it could be.

Fabulous place to stay. A real gem. Beautifully and tastefully appointed. Large comfortable suite. Delicious breakfast. A very warm welcome from the host who made every effort to make our stay a good one. Splendid gardens. Will visit again.

C est toujours avec un grand plaisir que nous venons passer le nouvel ans dans le gite des fougère superbement aménager, entoure de son jardin botanique ou le calme et le charme sont bien présent . Das Manoir de la Fieffe ist ein ganz besonderer Ort! In einer Gegend, die wenig aussergewöhnliche Hotels oder Unterkünfte bietet, sticht das Manoir absolut hervor. Die charmanten Inhaber Emanuelle und Michel haben das Ensemble aus dem 16. Jahrhundert mit viel Gespür für Ästhetik, alten Möbeln und schönen Stoffen zu einer Unterkunft gestaltet. Der Garten ist gerade im Sommer ein erholsamer Rückzugsort, die 3 geräumigen Appartements sind geschmackvoll und mit großem modernen Bad ausgestattet. Besonders schön ist der hübsche Raum, in dem man bis zu 3 Paaren ein vorzügliches petit dejeuner von Michel serviert bekommt, während man bei Bedarf mit Emanuelle plaudern und Ausflugtipps austauschen kann. Beide sind dabei sehr zurückhaltend. Allein der etwas feuchte Geruch ist aus den alten Gemäuern nicht rauszukriegen, Darüber kann man aber gelassen hinwegsehen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Manoir de la Fieffe absolut empfehlen. The Manoir de la Fieffe is a very special place! In an area that offers few exceptional hotels or accommodation, the Manoir absolutely stands out. The charming owners, Emanuelle and Michel, have transformed the 16th-century ensemble into accommodation with a great sense of aesthetics, old furniture and beautiful fabrics. The garden is a relaxing retreat, especially in summer, and the 3 spacious flats are tastefully furnished and have a large modern bathroom. Particularly nice is the pretty room where up to 3 couples can be served a delicious breakfast by Michel while chatting with Emanuelle and exchanging tips for excursions. Both are very reserved. The only thing you can't get out of the old walls is the slightly damp smell, but you can easily overlook that. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the Manoir de la Fieffe. Le Manoir de la Fieffe est un endroit très spécial ! Dans une région qui offre peu d'hôtels ou d'hébergements exceptionnels, le Manoir se distingue absolument. Les charmants propriétaires, Emanuelle et Michel, ont transformé l'ensemble du 16e siècle en hébergement avec un grand sens de l'esthétique, des meubles anciens et de belles étoffes. Le jardin est un lieu de retraite reposant, surtout en été, et les 3 appartements spacieux sont aménagés avec goût et dotés d'une grande salle de bain moderne. On apprécie particulièrement la jolie salle où jusqu'à 3 couples se voient servir un excellent petit déjeuner par Michel, tandis que l'on peut au besoin bavarder avec Emanuelle et échanger des conseils d'excursion. Tous deux sont très discrets. Seule l'odeur un peu humide ne peut pas être éliminée des vieux murs, mais on peut passer outre sans problème. Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise et pouvons absolument recommander le Manoir de la Fieffe. Britta & Henning, Berlin
