The staff are so friendly and helpful and speak very well English. The place is so clean and dust free! It’s a well maintained facility with hot drinks, public bath and laundry service. My child loved it. And the place is only 1 min walk from Nishiki Market. I wished I booked more days.

Perfect stay ! We booked 7 night in this beautiful ryokan and really enjoyed our expérience. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. I The ryokan is also well situated. We recommand without any hesitation!

Was a delightful ryokan with exceptional service. Naturally it's a little older than most modern hotels, but an excellent experience. The owners, were delightful and extremely accommodating.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Everything was fantastic, we stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! They provided us with Yukata to wear inside the property, they were warm and really elevated the traditional Japanese Ryokan experience! We also had the breakfast and I definitely recommend it, I’m not much of a breakfast person and I tend not to eat when I go sightseeing, so it was the perfect set up to have a proper meal to start the day and it kept me full for a long time. The hostess was also incredibly kind, so nice and helpful with suggestions and information, and it’s actually her home as well! The place was absolutely beautiful, it’s clear they put a ton of work into it and was such a nice relaxing a**osphere after running around everywhere all day! The location itself is great, you’re right next to Nishiki market and the main shopping street in Kyoto, so bus stops aren’t that far either, maybe a 5-10 min walk? Even though it’s near some of the most popular shopping, the neighborhood itself is very quiet and the noise tends to stay within the market itself. If you’re looking for a traditional Japanese inn I can’t recommend staying here enough, the futons were very comfortable and the deep bathtub was an absolute delight!

A charming traditional Japanese guesthouse, owned by a wonderful couple who did everythig to make our stay pleasant. .The place was beautiful, clean, just perfect.
