One of the best home stays in Thekkady. Very close to the parking area and ticket counter. Spot less room with clean toilet. 24 hours hot water. Friendly and helpful owner. The only negative thing is no car parking. Parking on the road side. The view from the balcony is awesome spotted some wild bison early morning.

Karala House is the perfect home away from home. We prolonged our stay. The view into the jungle is amazing. The rooms have a big balcony and are spacious and clean. The family who run the place are very warm hearted. They where always helpful with information and if asked organisation (trips, things to do, best places to shop, etc.) For only a little price you can get very delicious home cocked breakfast. If I come back to Kumily I hope I can stay here again

Comfortable location in the vicinity of tourist attractions, cozy homestay, owners were very polite and readily helpful, they always greeted with a polite face and very customer friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable, not ***y amenities provided (low pricing so understood), WiFi was decent in the room we stayed. Overall felt at home.

We went back to Kerala House Homestay for the 2nd time. We were very impressed with the cleaners, hospitality and the great view of Kerala House Homestay. From the balcony of our room, we saw a lot of wild animals. Also, the host booked some tour packages for us, with great rates!! He also recommended us some nice local shops and restaurants. The location is superb too, Periyar Tiger Reserve is only 5 minutes walk away, Kumily town centre is only about 10 minutes walk. Highly recommend Kerala House Homestay.
