Bamboo Bonaire Boutique Resort

Bamboo Bonaire is a small boutique hotel less than 10 minutes from Bonaire's main town, Kralindijk. It's not much to see from the road but once you pass through the (locked and secure) gates you enter an Asian-inspired oasis full of lush plantings, Buddha statues, fountains, pools, and ultra-private villa accommodations. All villas have outdoor courtyard, some with hot tubs or plunge pools; there's even a treehouse room for the young at heart. Tranquility rules the day here, and an on-site restaurant (one of the hottest reservations on the island, though some tables are reserved for guests) and spa mean you can really spend a lot of time here when you're not up for exploring. On the other hand almost everyone comes to Bonaire to dive, so the resort has an easy pickup service for O2 and NOX tanks and racks to dry your gear. The only drawback is that the resort isn't on the beach, but it makes a great base for exploring all of Bonaire's hidden beaches and dive spots, marked by yellow painted stones along the roads.

This collection of cottage are nestled in a walled green oasis filled with tropical plants. There is an attentive office stafd who can areange excursions or commect you with diving. The furnishings are gorgeous and modern. Room was comfortable. Kitchen had free coffee, full size frig and all the cookware needed. unit had a huge walk i shower. I felt like I was staying at a five star resort but econocally priced. Next door is a good chinese restaurant, ans across the street is the ocean. Would definitely recommend.

Celebrating our 25th anniversary, we found this hidden gem to be the perfect sequel in our two-week journey across the ABC Islands. The resort’s unique charm lies in its ability to offer privacy and tranquility amidst its cozy accommodations, even when at full capacity. The lush greenery and artful decor create an intimate atmosphere that makes each guest feel like they have the entire place to themselves—a rare luxury. Nestled conveniently close to the heart of the city, the resort offers easy access to local attractions, including the renowned Cliffs dive site. While we missed the opportunity to dine at the sought-after Chefs restaurant, fully booked months in advance, the resort still managed to delight us with a sumptuous breakfast in bed—a thoughtful touch that added to our celebration. The staff at Bamboo Boutique Resort deserves a special mention for their exceptional service. Attentive yet unobtrusive, they ensured our stay was nothing short of splendid. As we bid farewell to this enchanting retreat, we knew without a doubt that Bamboo Boutique Resort would be our go-to sanctuary in future visits to Bonaire. It’s not just a resort; it’s a memorable experience that stays with you long after you’ve left its gates. Highly recommended for those seeking a slice of paradise with a personal touch. Be sure to bring reef friendly bug spray and sun screen. Also try Lucianos Ice Cream bar. We went every single day. Very special experience - a small oasis of peace, calm, serenity and comfort. The Bamboo Team were amazing - accommodating but not intrusive, willing to help with any request and nothing was too much trouble….and the accommodation was excellent….would definitely recommend…

Came for the water not the hotel. One of the best hotels experiences ever. It’s beautiful. It’s quiet. Serene. Amazing. And Chefs restaurant is pricey but well worth every penny. I can’t even describe the dinner experience. I’m a foodie and was floored not only by the food but the the chefs themselves. Amazing people

This place is fabulous! My husband and I did tons of research looking for an affordable getaway in the Caribbean to escape our busy lives in the U.S. and we definitely found it at Bamboo Bonaire! We were looking for serenity and relaxation and this place offers some of the best! Every detail was taken care of straight down to an electric mosquito zapper for our room. The service was impeccable, the amenities abundant, and a private lunch pool made us feel like royalty! Would 10/10 recommend to those looking for a quiet island getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Bamboo. It was an amazingly quiet and relaxing. We felt as if we were the only ones on the property. We scuba dove each day and used the tanks provided by VIP dive center. We ate at Chef's one nights, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely return to this resort!

Stayed 10 days. Positives: good size room, private, peaceful. Nice balance of indoor/outdoor space Well kept grounds, nice staff who are helpful. Superior room has outdoor garden and showers (private, walled off), a small kitchen, memory foam bed, fans, good ductless ac, places to eat inside snd outside, place to sunbathe in private, a nice magnesium plunge pool (think large hot tub without heat), lots of well tended plants, a gas grill, a hammock, and a porch. The onsite restaurant, bonaire chefs, has a varying wed-sat evening, 7-10, reservation required prix fixe that is excellent, relaxed and elegant without being stuffy. 16-20 people per dinner, mixture of mostly american and dutch. You should contact before coming to the island to get a reservation. Negatives: roads are bumpy, i would recommend pick up truck, not just because of resort, but roads in bonaire in general. Had more mosquitoes than expected, again it was a month after the wet season. Mosquitos abatement occurred during the stay and helped. Overall recommended without reservation. We just returned from a wonderful visit at Bamboo Bonaire! It is truly a rare place on Bonaire where you can find some peace and quiet at the end of a dive day to relax and unwind. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay and the outdoor space was relaxing and quiet with the sound of the fountain in the background. The plunge pool was a nice addition to cool us off after a hot day diving. An idyllic setting to spend our vacation. As for the highlights: CHEFS dinner was one of the best dinners we have ever had (on Bonaire or elsewhere) and we live just outside New York City, so that’s saying something! The food was delicious and the interaction with the chefs and the other guests made for a most memorable evening. Truly an experience we will never forget - and one we hope to experience again when we return. The Spa couples massage was fantastic, and again one of the best we have had in comparison to others - definitely a relaxing way to spend a late afternoon. Breakfast at CHEFS was delicious and the service of Geraldine and Chantal was attentive and gracious - two lovely ladies. The resort itself is unusual and beautiful - something you can’t find elsewhere on Bonaire. Relaxing strolls through the palm trees and playing with resort cat Shiva were great, as was just sitting on our porch eating a snack or a meal or unwinding and reading in our garden. We’ve been to Bonaire several times and this resort was certainly unique and lovely. Mick and the whole staff were fantastic and completely accommodating.
