Excellent property..we always were in doubt whether to go for leela or taj. Property wise taj is best, has both backwaters and beach coverage. Family friendly, good hospitality, took care of our kids completely. Mr. Vinpugal was very helpful.

overall experience was fine. got the experience of natural habitat but the plants and trees were not maintained. They would have looked better if trimmed optimally . view from balcony was limited, lot of humidity inspite of dry weather. Breakfast could have more variety .

The property is a must visit because of the location and the size. One side is the Arabian sea and other side is the backwater touching the property. The whole resort is built of stone and burma teak and it is full of amazon like trees which gives it a rainforest look.you have to see to believe.Highlight amongst the ***y highlights is the plunge pool. The restaurant bait is besides the beach. When we were there it started raining and we were in the restaurant, we were just watching the high tide and the waves lashing at the shore .It was unforgettable sight. Also the antique shop within the property is a must visit. Last but not the least the hospitality of the Taj resort staff was memorable. Kudos to them.

Dear Taj Team, I wish to express heartfelt Thanks to the entire Team of Taj Kovalam for extending Warm Hospitality to me and my family. This was our 2nd stay at this amazingly beautiful property and we enjoyed every moment we spent there. I would like to Thank each and every member of Taj Kovalam, right from Front desk staff, Restaurant staff, Spa Staff, Buggy Staff, Housekeeping staff, staff at Bait Restaurant, Staff at pool, Gatekeepers, each and every single person at your resort. Forgive me if I missed out any name / department. Special Thanks and cheers to Special Lady of Taj Kovalam- Ms.Jasmine, she is a true rockstar and Great face of Hospitality. She is ever smiling and always ready on her toes to help us for any requirement. Trust me, our 2nd visit to this property was mainly Planned because of amazing Hospitality served by her during our 1st visit. And even during our 2nd visit she made us feel at home. My Child and my entire family are big fans of her. Please convey our Special Thanks and appreciation to her. For us she is Super Star of Taj Kovalam Also I would like to Thank the Main Chef at Restaurant (I forgot name, but he has just joined recently). If you are looking for breath taking views, luxurious rooms, scrumptious breakfast buffet spread…. Then this is NOT the place to be ! On a solo trip , I had booked myself 17-20 May . One day was enough to drive me away from here ! A garden facing room had infact turned to a Forest facing room where I could not see anything outside the windows ! The rooms were no where close to the standard and the class that Taj properties usually have ! The breakfast buffet spread was minimalistic ! I had offered to pay the difference and upgrade myself to a room where atleast the view is more inviting but was informed by the front desk that the hotel was booked full to capacity ! It’s later I got to know from the hotel staff that the occupancy is very low …. So low that they had actually cancelled the buffet lunch/ dinner ! For breakfast too the restaurant was sp****ly filled up ! The spa is actually good but don’t take a shower there as the drainage is very poor and after a while you would end up standing in a stew of hot water , soap and ayurveda oil !! So much was my disappoin**ent that I checked out the very next day and checked in at another resort which was absolutely worth it (and even slightly cheaper)

The most incredible hotel my husband and I have been too and I have travelled extensively. We will be back in a flash. Luxury beyond expectation. The staff, the food, the rooms and the whole experience. Absolute 5 star experience. The pool is amazing and staff and attentive but not overbearing. It is pricey but worth it because the ambience is out of this world. You cannot help but relax here. The only downside is that you cannot use Uber and have to use their associated car service. Some of the taxi drivers can and will take advantage. They are pushy but that's part of the culture. It's about a 10-minute drive Kolvalam Beach. It's so clean, calm and kind. I instantly felt at home and was made to feel so special. It was my birthday and they went out of their way to make me feel like a queen. Highly recommend. It's now a family favourite and we will be back! The spa is expensive but like the rest of the hotel- worth it! You can explore the ground and feel like you're in a curated jungle.

This well maintained property is surrounded by awesome nature. It has a charming a**osphere. We especially enjoyed the pools and the view. Big thanks to Shadab and the whole Taj Green team for giving us the best experience. Definitely recommend!
