1. As soon as you open the door to the room could get an unpleasant smell. 2. No fresh bedding was put on before we checked in 3. Walked into the bathroom and you know it’s not been cleaned properly after the last guest check out 4. No maintenance done to room & bathroom ( damaged visible ) 5. Housekeeping was not done properly. On our return to the room we would have to phone reception to say can we have towels, bath mat etc . The bathroom would still smell awful. 6. Arrogant night staff ( ***ish Pandey ) no ***ners when you go to the reception desk to collect the room keys. Has not been taught ***ners . 7 . Coffee cups and teapots in a bad state ( germs 🦠 very happy) not cleaned properly 🤔 8 . Food and service at the restaurant was good. 9. Laundry service is supposed to be same day service our was received the next night .Clothes were not dried properly. Told reception ( ***ish Pandey ) he tells a staff take an iron and iron them . I told him the weather has been good and the clothes were not returned not on time so why are they wet still. No answer. 10. Bed linen not changed even though we stay here for a long period. Pillows in a bad state The only reason we stayed here was because we had paid up for the full length of our stay in advance and a few staff who have been working at this property for years but never expected to see the state it’s in now . Property is walking distance to restaurants, the metro railway and cinema hall too 😊

Excellent stay!!! Hotel Southern plaza has vey clean rooms and is well maintained. The staff is very helpful and polite. Even the food here is delicious!!. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting here.

Having travelled over 14 countries worldwide and staying over 42 different hotels, this is the first time I truly felt like staying in my home-away-from-home. Southern Plaza Hotel and Oceania Restaurant is not only topnotch in terms of overall quality of service and excellent food each and every time, the hotel stands out for its truly personal touch and care in every aspect of hospitality. Since, it will be overwhelming to acknowledge and appreciate each of the staff in Southern Plaza who attended us daily, during our long stay, I will mention the names of few who stood out in their genuine care each day. Very caring security Somnath Bhattacharya and thoughtfully attending breakfast Executive Surya and team (Batakrishna, Ranjith); HOD of F&B Gokul for his caring and personalized food preparation, each and every time. Super prompt Front Desk Executive Priyanka and RakeshJi ***** with others; Untiringly careful HouseKeeping from BikashDa every single day. Over and above what strikes me is the undeterred dedication of each staff to the overall goodness of the SPHotel, likely driven by GM Mr Sanjay. Thank you so much, Southern Plaza Hotel for making our stay a wonderful one.

The rooms are rather small but the price is right. Neighborhood is great, Rabindra Sarovar and park, metro and restaurants close by. Feels safe. Good breakfast, bar on the terrace and there is also a restaurant.

This place is one of the beautiful places i have seeen ... Great location, loved our glamping experience, friendly staff, lovely well maintained facilities and plenty to do.Very clean and organized hostel overall. A picture says a thousand words. The pictures accompanying this post will immediately explain the harrowing experience of three people being crammed into one tiny room for a stay of four nights. The hotel charged for triple occupancy and a premier room. The so called premier room had hardly any space for the third bed that was eventually placed by removing the single sofa and the table to keep one's belongings on. The Reader can imagine the frustration of the people who had to tolerate this nonsense in addition to dealing with urine stains on the toilet seat, nothing starting from drinking water to tea bags, towels, glasses, cups being adequate for catering to three people, intercom not working for one full day, slow service and absolutely unhelpful and arrogant reception staff. The question is ...why should a hotel not care about creating such a horrible experience for guests who have paid good money to them?

Our stay in Southern Plaza Hotel was truly heartwarming, mainly driven by the exceptional care and hospitality from each of the hotel staffs. We stayed there for few weeks. Each day, starting from breakfast to late evening, we were attended by F&B executives headed by Gokul, Breakfast Attendants Surya, Priyojit and Staffs, Housekeeping by BikashDa and team, and most importantly Front desk executives Priaynka and Rajesh and GM Mr Sanjay who went out of their way to accommodate changes and make sure our stay everyday, was wonderful. We were touched by the genuine care of Security @ Somnath and others. I would not hesitate to rate the overall experience as WAY ABOVE EXPECTED. We look forward to come back again and again to this very homely stay.
