Hotel Brenner

This is a delightful hotel, walkable both from the train station and the main tourist spots. Our room was very spacious. Breakfast was very good. We can only give four stars because on arrival our safe showed a 'low battery' warning. We immmediately reported this and were told that housekeeping would deal with the issue. Unfortunately this did not happen during our two day stay there.

The hotel is in a good location, less than a 10 minute stroll from the train station and 15 minutes to major attractions and the town centre. There’s plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walk, 15 minutes tops cover most of the town centre. The centre is very lively if that’s what you are after. The staff were very friendly and accommodating apart from when I requested some ice for drinks and was told ‘It is not possible, it is not normal’. However when I asked a different lady on another night she went and fetched some from a local restaurant , good service. Our room was good, one floor up at the back of hotel facing the garden, quiet and spacious. On the down side the TV was small and there was no English language channels. There were a few, like CNN showing on the list but they weren’t tuned.I know we don’t go on holiday to watch TV but it’s nice to have the option of the news or a film late at night. Another problem for me was no mini fridge in the room, I like a cold drink on a hot day. Last complaint, the bathroom was large, clean, well appointed but the shower was terrible, perhaps the lowest pressure shower we’ve ever encountered in a hotel. It took me about 15 minutes under a dribble of water to get anywhere near clean. The shower and ice are minor problems. Breakfast was very good, a nice selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts of meat and cheese and a hot option of eggs and bacon. I had fried eggs cooked to order but scrambled and boiled were available. There was also a good selection of bread and cakes all served in a very nice room overlooking the garden. All in all I enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again if returning to Koblenz.

We stopped for on e night and found this Hotel exceptionally friendly and more than adequate for our needs.Great Breakfast and reasonably priced.Location is perfect for local sightseeing and shopping.

We have just enjoyed a 2 night stay here and it was simply excellent. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely helpful at all times and the quality of the breakfast could not be faulted in any way. It is a good 10 minute walk to the Old Town and 15 minutes to the Rhine water front. Having said that there were a couple of very good restaurants just minutes from the hotel. The fact the dog was so welcomed and we could park our car, were among the reasons for choosing to stay here, but we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Way better than it’s 3 star rating.

We wanted a hotel for 2 adults with young son and parking for rental car. Surprisingly there weren’t many options for Koblenz but this hotel had some good TA ratings. It was easy to find. Parking was in a private park close by the hotel. The room was a good size for the three of us. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom suitably equipped with good shower pressure. Breakfast was included and had lots of options. If we didn’t eat so we’ll the night before we’d have an appetite for frühstück.

For the last night on our cycling trip, we stayed at Hotel Brenner, which was well out of the main (interesting) part of Koblenz, a good 15-min walk from old town and the river. About 10 mins walk to the train station in a suburban area. It’s a basic hotel, with functional but not fancy rooms. We had a comfortable room facing the street (so we had some street and pedestrian traffic noise). The room was spacious, and everything worked. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a good breakfast and were able to store our luggage after check-out for much of the day before getting our train to Frankfurt.

We stayed at the Brenner on the last night of a walking holiday.It is 10 minutes walk from the old town and the railway station. Our reception was so friendly and warm. The room was spacious and comfortable, as was the en-suite. We had drinks in the lovely garden in the late afternoon sunshine. Breakfast was delightful with very helpful staff making sure we had everything we needed. Checkout was just as nice as our reception. Such happy staff! Our short stay was an absolute delight. We recommend the Brenner.

This hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area only 10 minutes walk on the level from the station and 15 to 20 minutes walk from the Rhine and Mosel. Welcoming and helpful reception with excellent English. Large well fitted out room, more of a suite, with comfortable bed, large seating area and bathroom. Fully functioning air-conditioning (this was during a very hot spell). Large secluded garden with tables and chairs and bar service in fine weather. Large bright breakfast room overlooking said garden. Excellent breakfast selection. No evening meals but a good family Italian restaurant three doors away. Food not fancy just very good. It looked as if most rooms have balconies but number 15 on the ground floor was I think unique in having its own terrace with direct access to the garden .

Sometimes you get a upfront firsthand solid positive experience. The welcoming from hotel management-service from staff makes this hotel more than just a stop over, makes you relax and feel like home. The staff is friendly, polite, very forthcoming and well organized. The hotel offers a great garden for relaxing and social gathering. Some of the rooms have access via the balcony directly to the garden. Breakfast is served in the garden on nice summer days and good drinks in the lazy afternoon- evening. The hotel is well run, breakfast is as expected. Parking is close by- reserved up to 9 places-150 meters away. The Hotel offer excellent wifi, AC and safe. Hotel is a 5 min walk from the altstadt.
