After countless hours of comparing properties on Koh Lanta we booked a pool/beach facing family room on Agoda 6 weeks before arrival, and we were very pleased with our booking and looked forward to arriving. We received confirmations twice from Agoda. . 2,5 weeks before arrival we suddenly receive a message through Agoda that the owner has cancelled our booking due to a double booking. At this point all other reasonable priced options are fully booked and we can only settle for a far less attractive and much more expensive option elsewhere. I have sent 4 emails to the property to at least get an explanation on how this could happen and why they are not even trying to accommodate us somehow but i didn't receive any response whatsover which i find terrible customer service, rude and careless. Therefore ,please think twice before booking here as it might suddenly get cancelled on you just before your arrival, leaving you with b-options.
