Cinnamon Hotel

I can only speak highly of the Cinnamon Hotel. The a**osphere is cozy and welcoming, the rooms are spacious bungalows just a few meters from the sea, overlooking the pool and the restaurant. The beach of Jambiani, right in front, stretches for several kilometers and offers beautiful walks. The hotel is also environmentally friendly, using glass bottles for water and furnishing with reclaimed wood, refurbished in a functional and tasteful manner. The restaurant serves excellent food at great prices. However, the real standout feature of Cinnamon is its staff. The managers are truly welcoming and kind, and above all, they will offer valuable advice and act as intermediaries between guests and the locals to ensure fair pricing for services. They are familiar with European standards and will protect you from unscrupulous operators—such as those who overcharge for modest boat trips. Keep in mind that in Jambiani, like many other places in Zanzibar, swimming and snorkeling spots are often only accessible by boat due to shallow waters extending several kilometers from the shore, especially during low tide. One last tip for Cinnamon Hotel. We visited in mid-March (low season, humid season), and the ground floor rooms were extremely hot. However, for a modest price difference, we were able to get a room on the first floor, which was well-ventilated, with a terrace and a truly fantastic sea view. We hope to return. Thank you!

it would have been perfect if our cottage had A/C. The room and the bathroom were lovely!

on the first morning after room service, two rings (including one diamond) costing at least $1,500 were stolen from the room. the manager is apparently complicit because he doesn't react, and doesn't do what is necessary to help the police arrest the staff, he accused me of being responsible because I was traveling with precious jewelry and I didn't put them in the safe Hotel to absolutely avoid, because all customers lose their money and jewelry.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is amazing and the room was great. We stayed with waterfront views. The restaurants food is really good, sea food options are fresh and delicious, breakfast is also great. Beach is amazing, and the pool is nice and refreshing. Super relaxing a**osphere, we really enjoyed ourselves

Spending few days in one of the front rooms was the best decision. It was clean, nicely arranged and decorated but what impressed the most was the ocean view. I spent hours watching the waves, water changing from celadon to turquoise colour, observed gigantic tidal moves - simply breathtaking. I had been in many places but I don't remember any hotel being that close to water. It was basically built on the beach. Highly recommended!

Amazing hotel. Myself and my boyfriend has a lovely 7 days at this hotel. The rooms were fantastic with a view of the ocean out the door. What more could you ask for. Staff and restaurant food were both very nice. Would definitely recommend to stay here as our trip was very successful.

we stayed for a week and had an absolutely amazing experience, bed was very cosy, hot water in shower, the amenities were very good also. room was large with beautiful scenic view. pool was very good for relaxing. overall amazing experience.

We have just finished my stay at this hotel. Absolutely amazing experience genuinely nothing more we could ask for. Great staff , lovely breakfast , very nice rooms , swimming pool , clear blue ocean and AC in room which was very helpful on warm nights and day. Out trip lasted 12 days and the hotel staff helped us organise trips for the full day such as a safari which made life a lot easier. Lastly fresh fruits from the bar is a MUST try. 5 minute wait and you receive a full plate of fruit that you have never tasted. Overall very happy with out stay and would recommend. The local town was very nice but don’t be shocked with location. This is what Zanzibar is all about.

Great hotel‼️ My favourite part was the swimming pool which had a view of the clear blue ocean. The staff was very friendly and helped with everything. The restaurant had lots of opinions to eat. Lastly it is located only 6 km from Paje which is a small town in Jambiani. Overall a great experience and highly recommend 😊
