It is a reasonable hotel in Hull. The food here is a mix of really great and average. The reception staff are very helpful. I would stay again but would also consider looking for other accommodation
All the staff give you a very warm welcome there isn't anything the staff consider to much trouble. All guest receive special treatment this doesn't occur in large chain even hotel with a higher star rating .Each room is equipped with a fridge and provide a bottle of water for each guest daily this wouldn't happen in 3 stars independent or large chain hotel .The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.angie the owner makes sure the rooms are exceptionally clean theres also her attention to detail the tastefully furnish ed rooms are down to her.Emma is lovely accomodating efficient receptionist along with the down to earth & helpful Nikki Then there's Charlotte part of the owners family such a helpful girl. The waitresses in the breakfast room are warm cheery particular Jackie &Caitlin.my sister has stayed here for a few weeks now the staff and the family that own it have looked after her like there own family she was ill and rush to hospital Emma Jackie one of the owners family Gary a lovely man all dashed to her aid wheñ she fainted emma & Jackie picked her up.Emma made sure i had a room close by when she was released from hospital reorganising the allocated rooms. The hotel location is perfect if you want a beautiful hotel in a Victorian garden square short walking distance to the city centre. If you arrive by train to hull a minibus is available to and from the hotel unless your preference taxi minibus for a cheaper option.my sister and I will return later this year our favourite hotel in England.poorly written late at night hope I've covered everything🙂

We stayed here a few months ago, in one of their premium rooms & had a disappointing stay in a dated room with a narrow bath with a shower over it. The water also got turned off due to a plumbing problem so it was a bit of a nightmare. The hotel had no control over the plumbing problem but when we mentioned the difficulty we had with the high sided narrow bath on checkout, Michelle, on reception, immediately apologised & offered us a complimentary night in one of their other rooms with a walk in shower. A few months later, we received an email from Village Hotels, informing us that they had started refurbishing the rooms in the hotel so we decided to use the complimentary stay & find out for ourselves. We arrived to a warm welcome & was immediately allocated our room on the 'Top Deck' (Room 518). It had been refurbished to a high standard. It was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, walk in rain shower, Iron, Ironing board, Kettle, teas & coffees & a very large TV. There was also a note with two Starbuck's cups, welcoming us back & inviting us to take the cups to the in house Starbucks shop for complimentary coffees of our choice - which we thought was a nice touch & very good customer care. We had a swim in the pool then after a night out in town, we arrived back at the hotel at around midnight. The bar was closed but the guy on the reception said we could have a drink. We only planned to have one but he said he was happy to keep it open if we wanted to sit there for longer. Breakfast was included & it is your average hotel buffet breakfast with a selection of hot & cold food, coffee, tea, juice etc... One thing that we noticed was the friendliness of the staff, Everyone seemed to have a smile & a warm greeting for us, from the receptionist to the housekeeping staff. This hotel is a few miles out of Hull but it is only a six minute walk to a bus stop with a very good service for those wanting to visit the theatre/ football etc...
We were in Apartment 8 at Humber Loft Apartments. The location is perfect but unfortunately it’s the only positive of our one night stay. The condition of the apartment is below par to say the least. All of the walls are scuffed or stained to varying degrees, both inside the apartment and in the hallway / staircase areas. Wear and tear is to be expected, but not to this extent. It wouldn’t take much to address this and make the apartment look more appealing. This makes it feel rundown and points to a lack of care. The sofa is incredibly uncomfortable, rock solid and not ideal for relaxing and watching the TV. The TV is at floor level which they say is shown on their pictures, but the positioning is baffling. We have never seen anything like it. The living room and kitchen area has all the hallmarks of a student halls with how basic it is. The chairs provided were stained and covered in crumbs. We had towels provided, one of which was stained. The bed was good sized but uncomfortable, with a lumpy quilt cover and one pillow each. The bathroom is tiny but adequate, although we had a significant issue with the toilet not flushing properly. We noticed this before going out at night, therefore the situation didn’t favour us escalating this problem because we had plans. Upon returning late evening, the toilet wouldn’t empty. Attempts to flush resulted in contents rising to the top of the bowl and unable to fully clear by the time of departure. We weren’t going to attempt to fix this problem ourselves or clean the toilet (impossible under the circumstances) as the owners later suggested we should have done. Our bigger problems began after check-out where we had left our feedback through the internal email the owners sent. We were accused of having a lack of respect for the apartment due to how we ‘left the toilet’, given it wouldn’t flush properly and we have attempted to clear it god knows how many times in the morning. We were accused of breaking a bowl, the evidence they sent shows a bowl that was chipped. However, we used no cutlery or crockery during our one night stay. We had no need to use anything because we had plans in the city for food and drinks. This accusation was out of order, either it hasn’t been picked up before we stayed or there’s an element of foul play involved. We were told that leaving the windows open, that are on security latches which open a few centimetres, was against the terms and conditions. Despite the very same windows being open when we arrived in the apartment and the room being red hot in the morning. Therefore we wanted to let air in and leave the apartment how we entered it. We were also accused of leaving the lights on upon departure, another accusation that is untrue and also completely unnecessary because it was well lit by the natural light in the morning. Despite trying to discuss over email and provide feedback, the recipient on behalf of Humber Loft Apartments was abrasive and lacking any ounce
ผผู้เข้าพักCan't fault this place at all. The hostel was clean, tidy, and well-presented. It had a lovely atmosphere and was a genuinely lovely place to stay. Glenn was so friendly and couldn't have made me feel more welcome. I stayed in a single room which was such a great price and value for money. The hostel is in a perfect location in Old Town, a short walk from Hull Train and Bus Station, shops, restaurants etc. I will definitely be returning in the near future and would recommend to anyone.
KKarenBianchiStayed here on a Friday night before our son’s wedding in Patrington. Outside area seemed family friendly with picnic benches and play area. All rooms on ground level. We were allocated a room miles away from reception. It looked ok but smelled of smoke ( think someone had been smoking hanging out the window as the windows opened wide.). After complaining we were moved to a room opposite which was lovely with a thick new carpet. Very comfy bed and good tv and the room had a nice temperature. Bathroom ok with good shower and big thick fresh towels We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was quite good. Staff were attentive and pleasant. Would recommend for an overnight stay on transit.
Arrived early no issues with that, friendly guy talked us through check in via phone, booked direct, requested upgraded room, got keys to the room was not impressed! Very basic , Room 7 , strange smell, worksurface round sink cracked & shabby, no tea/coffee making facilities in room which I have never experienced before…(shared kitchen has all these) just not my preference like a cuppa in room without having to feel you need to get dressed & go downstairs (personal choice) called number enquiring if my room was an upgraded one, no it wasn’t they made a mistake, quickly rectified, changed room Room 10, have to say compared to 1st one this was progressively better. Parking , plentiful if you don’t have inconsiderate drivers parking across ways in front of hotel making access to rear carpark not accessible! , when we arrived back at 11pm we had to park on road round the corner (not hotels fault) Would we return , No, ok for what we needed it for attending function Hessle Town Hall.
