Lighthouse Hotel - Key West Historic Inns Collection

It’s located in an ideal area of Key West with easy access to many fantastic tourist sites and restaurants. The rooms are cottages, both pleasant and private. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The only pimple is something they have no control over: roaming roosters and chickens that are both noisy and messy despite robust cleaning efforts.

The property location is excellent. However, for the cost of staying, I would have liked to see the property in better condition both cleanliness and operational. In my room, the bathroom door did not close properly, it appeared that the side table light had been reattached, but was not straight & level on the wall. In other situations I would have been fine with all these things but for the cost. I would have expected more from the stay.

Property alarm went off about 3am To many rooster from 3 am to 7 am good luck trying to sleep

Cannot beat the location with it being a block off Duval. Hotel was quiet and well kept. Luggage hold was safe and secure.

I have stayed at several Kimpton properties around the country and they have become one of our favorite brands for personal travel. That is why I didnt hesitate to pay almost double for this property compared to similiar properties on the island. Unfortunately when we arrived it was very clear this property is no where near the standard of other Kimpton properties I have stayed. The good: great location, across from the Hemingway House, next door to the Lighthouse. Bungalow style cabana's and a very cozy property that is well landscaped. The dissapointing: The rooms are incredibly small with nowhere to even sit a single suitcase, much less two. We had to stack ours in the flloor on top of each other. The bathrooms are also very small with only a single pedestal sink to put your things. No more than 4" on either side of the sink for toiletries. There was also no water, coffee maker, lotion or other basic amenities in the room. The property seemed tired and unkept. The floors were uneven, cracked plaster in the bathroom, as well as some concerning dinge by the toilet, privacy film peeling off the bathroom window, pool was missing huge chunks of plaster, etc. Just things I would have never expected from Kimpton or a $600 night hotel room.

Locate at the best area of key west but definitely need some work on the maintenance. Fire alarm went off 5am in the morning cause by air conditioners.

Good location for walking Key West. Room was in need of some maintenance. A piece of clothing from a previous client was in the room. Showed it to housekeeper and thought it would go away. Came back later and it was hanging on a chair. I tossed it out myself. Later had to change room as A/C went out in our room. Hotel is okay but in need of updating.

If you are charging resort fees have the facilities open for each of the days you are charging them for. When you charge over $400 a night for accommodations make sure you have fitted bed sheets and mattress covers that are actually for the size of bed you are covering. While bathrobes are nice to have don’t give threadbare ones with holes in them and then take them away before the end of the stay without replacing them. Not replacing dirty glasses or even taking them for the entire stay is also a bad thing.

There was free parking but we had to lug our luggage 2 blocks. The person at the counter at 2pm the day we checked in was not too helpful.
