Quinlan & Cooke Boutique Townhouse and QCs Seafood Restaurant

Quinlan and Cooke is an exceptional townhouse/boutique. The tastefully appointed rooms and comfortable beds along with the daily provided fresh, delicious pastries, fruit and yogurt is more than noteworthy. The managers, Deidra and Kate went above and beyond to assist us with a very challenging situation when we left our passports in the room’s safe. The personal touch, and lovely accommodations gives this townhouse a well deserved five star rating.

Highly recommend this wonderful hotel! It's attached to the best restaurant in town and the service is exceptional. We had the best room in the 3rd floor with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is a continental breakfast brought to your room is lots of fruit and homemade yogurt and pasties.

My husband and I booked here last minute after deciding to drive around the ring of kerry. Booking was easy and we were made aware that the restaurant wasn't yet open ( disappointed as it looks fabulous). A lovely phoned us and explained how to check in and she later met us there with a lovely welcome and smile. We were delighted when we seen our room. Beautifully decorated throughout extremely comfortable bed and everything you could need was there. Breakfast was in your room and there was an excellent selection with added fresh pastries delivered to your room in the morning . Excellent value for the level of accommodation. We will definitely stay here again 👍

I have just had a 5 night stay and in fact it was my seventh time. The room was fab as every past visit, secure car park, staff are very friendly and the restaurant is the best in town. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Kerry John Brennan 05/02/2024

I genuinely don’t write reviews unless I am impressed or incensed. Here I was thoroughly impressed. Kate and family were wonderful. Travelling as a family of 6 can have its downsides but the townhouses were perfect (together but separate) and we got to wash our clothes! I am sure I will be back (hopefully in warmer weather and when the restaurant is open).

Firstly, when we arrived no one was there (although we were asked before by phone to send a message or call shortly before we arrive - and that is what we did). I called and didn't get an answer, I asked at the fish shop with the same name the told us to go round the corner to check if someone is there and otherwise come back. We did so. No one opened. It was cold we had two suit cases and didn't feel welcome at all. We were told afterwards that there was another guests arriving at the same time. I would still have appreciated if someone would have informed us about that and not let us wait in the cold. Secondly, we were not able to get dinner, although it was mentioned that you offer food. Again, it would have been nice to know beforehand that it would be difficult to get dinner. (we had peantus at the end). Thirdly, after a night without dinner, we didn't get proper breakfast. We were told that bread and pastries would get delivered to the door (breakfast is in the room), but this never arrived (although I complaint several times - no solution). We waited for more than an hour before we finally left (payment was in advance). After no dinner at night, not having a proper breakfast (the cheese and salmon without bread wasn't neither good nor filling), we were really disappointed. I asked for at least a small refund, but although promised, I didn't receive anything back. We had a most wonderful stay in Ireland, but this experience was really sad.

Booked as a surprise birthday trip for my boyfriend as he had childhood memories in Cahersiveen. The surprise couldn't have gone any better, we stayed in the Skellig Suite which was stunning and super cosy on a rainy winters day. The bed was enormous and the bath in the bedroom looking out to the mountains was a lovely touch. Service was brilliant from start to finish and the food in the restaurant on Friday evening was really good. We had booked for Saturday too but then cancelled to try somewhere else in town and very much wished we hadnt as Q&C was clearly the only place to be on a Saturday night! We requested a late check out as were in no rush to leave on Sunday and Kate granted this with pleasure simply telling us to take our time and relax :-). Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Great small local hotel and restaurant. Super well run and a great staff. This is the ideal place to stay and eat if you are in the area. Super clean rooms and a high quality restaurant. We ended our Ring of Kerry adventure here.

My adult son and I needed a place to stay for the night before our Skellig Island tour. Port Magee was all booked, so I found this lovely boutique hotel about a 20 minute cab ride from Port Magee for the night of 8/28/23. The location was right on the very unbusy main street of Cahersiveen. It was technically not open - the staff had the night off - but the proprietor was waiting for us and showed us to a very nice room. the central location was perfect for visiting the shops and pubs. We really liked the in-room breakfast - yogurt and muesli, fruit and smoked salmon in the fridge and fresh pastries placed on the door handle over night. In town we asked where to find a good pub and dinner and people kept referring us to Quinlan and Cooke. Unfortunately they were not open that evening, so we will have to visit them again next time we're in Ireland!
