Lake Placid Inn Boutique Hotel

We were beyond disappointed in this hotel. When we arrived at 4pm, our room was not ready. The older women at the front desk was absolutely miserable. I very kindly asked her how I would know when to come back since she was unable to give me a specific time, only stating “the room needs to be inspected”. I asked if the hotel could call or text me and she responded “no”. I asked if I should wait and was told “up to you”. I told her I wasn’t trying to cause issues, I just don’t know if I should come back in 2 hours or in 30 mins. She started at me for maybe 30 seconds and told me I should continue to check back with them however often I wanted to understand if the room was done. Additional issues, there is not enough parking at all. All of the spots were taken. I parked on the street and got a parking ticket for $35. The hotel did not care. They directed me to an overflow lot 1/2 a mile a way and told me I could park there. There are no amenities here. Our bathroom was covered in black mold which was surprising considering it’s brand new. I am sensitive to mold and after waking up very congested - decided to talk to the staff. I couldn’t find any staff though. I was so frustrated we ended up leaving and checking into a different hotel, cambria - which was amazing. Everything about this place is disappointing. It’s not a boutique hotel, it’s likely comparable to a motel. Room layout is weird, the faucet in the shower made no sense. I would consider looking elsewhere.

The elevator was extremely slow and there was only one. I could hear other guests and road noise from my room. My coffee maker was broken and the half and half was spoiled and there were no bottles of water given to make the coffee.

Everything was great. The staff was very helpful! Within walking distance of Lake Placid shops, restaurants and attractions. My only thing was trying to access the fitness room. My card wouldn’t open it up. I had to get someone from the front desk to open it for me. One of them told me that my card shouldn’t open this room. Didn’t understand that one.

Beautiful place! So clean and modern. Very friendly and breakfast was good too. Walking distance to everything and the lake is right outside the door. We will be back!

Lake Placid is a go to place for our mini vacations. We always enjoy our time there. So it helps to stay in a hotel like the Boutique. Wonderful staff and accommodation!

Stayed here during a hockey tournament at the Olympic rinks. 5-minute walk to the rink. Mirror Lake is right across the street. Lake Placid Brewery & Pub next door. Room was spacious and clean. Front desk employees were very nice and helpful.

Great place. Great price. It was everything that it promises to be. Room 2 queen was large. Place was quiet. Breakfast was adequate.

The stay was comfortable and the free breakfast was great. Its within walking distance to a lot great places/activities. The staff was friendly as well

Pub next door was excellent. Easy walk to shops. Easy drive to ski hill. Easy parking.
