Pumba Safari Cottages

Pumba Safari Cottages is a wonderful place located on a hill with magnificent views. Clean and comfortable rooms, tasty food and friendly staff. It is worth staying a little longer to enjoy all this. I definitely recommend Pumba Safari Cottages.

We stayed here two nights, the lodges are located up on a hill and there Is a wonderful view on the landscape. The location is very cozy, accurate and well managed. We received a warm welcome by the staff that was very professional and demonstrated high care to the guests. The restaurant prepares delicious local dishes. Overall a great stay and we definetly recommend It.

My friend and I (from Canada) stayed a couple nights at Pumba Safari Cottages. The accommodations were very cute and clean. With a spectacular view facing the lush, green forest. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Josef one of the staff members was so so nice. Excellent place to lay your head after a long day of seeing amazing animals on the Safari.

Very quiet and beautiful place. The food is excellent and the staff was very friendly and charming. Couldn't find a single negative aspect about the accommodation. Fiona and Joseph made a great job. Can only recommend it.

Pumba Safari Lodge is in a beautiful location overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park. The cottages are well appointed with great views of the Savannah. The dinning area is lovely and also has great views and beautiful sunsets. The staff are wonderful and go out their way to help. Had my laundry done and boots cleaned for a very reasonable price. So nice to have fresh clothes for the rest of my journey. Food was very good and plenty full.

Quite simply awful! (And beware of reviews less than 10 contributions as they are staff/paid.) I researched where to stay in Queen Elizabeth park and chose Pumba, despite it not being recommended by my tour company. From start to finish it was awful. We arrived at 5pm and there was no-one at reception and the lights were all off. After five minutes two staff arrived and we’re still tucking in their shirts as if they had just woken up and got dressed. I was shown to my room which was basic, lacked any towels and had mosquitos everywhere (including inside the open mosquito net which was open above the bed. The restaurant wasn’t any better - had low lighting and was filled with mosquitoes. Wifi was only available in the restaurant with intermittent connectivity even there - and forget trying to use when others were there as this just caused it to totally fail. My room was the garden room which was noisy due to a room above where you heard the conversation as if the people were in your room. And the pillow cases had seen better days with stains on them. My guide recommended we leave at 6am to catch sunrise in the game park. Unfortunately no hot water at that time and despite organizing breakfast for 5:45am there was no one available until we left at 6am (when staff arrived with pajamas on). The only positive was the wonderful staff member called Catherine who was thoughtful and helpful.

Great location and view from our lodge. The staff was superfriendly and really serviceoriented. Clean and organized even though the beds are a bit hard compared to what we are used to. The food was great and they adapt to our needs. We really recommend this place!

Quiet place with nice view, close to the crater area and Victoria NP. Nice people, nice service. Monkeys and elephants are loud in the nighttime. The cottage is on a cliff of small crater's rim. If you have luck, the elephants are walking in the grassy bottom of the crater.

We stayed at the lodge for 1 night during our fantastic safari to Uganda. We were welcomed by friendly people, got juice and introduced. The place is nicely situated on a hill with a great view over the valley. The lodge is relatively small but nicely organized and maintained. The room and the bath was spacious and clean and we had hot water. The restaurant is open with a nice view, the food was well prepared, delicious and served by friendly staff. We really enjoyed the stay
