Mchanga Zanzibar

Great family stay. We enjoyed for 10 days the 3-rooms villa. Staff was very friendly and very fast to answer our queries. The beach and pool are great. The restaurant is also great, even if a bit overpriced. But there are alternative nearby so that’s not an issue. This place is small, a bit away from the village, so it’s very quiet and peaceful.

It was wonderful relaxing time for me Wonderful views ..silence place..very nice service..Yhe rooms were very clear ...The breakfast was great Customer service always help with everything 👍👏 I can recommend this place. I will come there very soon 😌☺

We had lunch and dinner here a couple of times while staying at a neighbouring hotel. Wonderful staff, peaceful, beautiful and good food! The pizza was amazing. We would have loved to stay here instead. You can go for long walks on the beach in both directions.

We had an amazing stay at Mchanga beach, from the location which is absolutely stunning with the small houses, the decoration, the beach in front of you… to the service here, the people, the food.. this all made our experience unforgettable ! The staff is always there to help you, big thanks to Sam, Ahmed, Ramadan and everyone else… you were really a big part of why we had such good holidays !! We will definitively be back if we come back to Zanzibar. We spent two days in Paje to move around the island but decided to come back here as we felt so at home there. If you are looking for quiet, calm holidays in paradise then you’ll find what you’re looking for at Mchanga !

If you are looking for a relaxing beach hotel this is the place for you. The beach is beautiful and good for swimming. Or there is a nice pool to relax by. The staff are friendly and accommodating to your needs. The food is very good. I highly recommend this as a very good hotel in a lower price range.

Mchanga Beach Resort 3 stars. We had a lovely time at Mchanga beach resort. The scenery is lovely and the staff delivers a good service with a smile on their faces. Nevertheless, some things comes in the way of great vacation. First of all, the food & beverage is really not enjoyable. We didn't like any meal we had there, and we even started going to other resorts to have some decent food. Secondly, the wifi is really slow and doesn't work everywhere on the resort. It was barely manageable to send a picture on whatapp).That sound like a details, but really puts another dent in the holidays. Thirdly, we went to the reception desk several times during our stay, and the clerk was never able to help us regarding any informations or activity on the island. Lastly, the checkout was really unprofessional: a random tax of 168$ (9$ per night per person) was added on top of the bill( we weren't warned about this), secondly, we payed by card on a shady website that didn't look secure at all. We will not come back to this resort, as we felt thoses 4 points shouldn't be tolerated in a place of such standard.

Noch immer sind wir fassungslos über diese Unterkunft, die den Namen Hotel nicht verdient. Wir hatten die „beste" Zimmerkategorie gebucht und hatten Haus 1. Ein Bett, eine Kleiderstange mit 6 Bügeln.... sonst Nichts! Es gab in dem Zimmer keinen Tisch, keine Stühle, keinen Schrank. Wir lebten die neun Tage lang aus den auf dem Fußboden liegenden Koffern. Die Häuser wurden von innen mit irgendeiner klebrigen Farbe angestrichen, welche sich bei Kontakt ablöste. Sogar der Waschtisch war mit dem Zeug angemalt und es löste sich bei wasserkontakt von selbst auf. Die Klimaanlage schaffte es nicht, den Raum wirklich runter zu kühlen. Dafür lief aber ständig sehr viel Kondenswasser die Wand herunter und unsere Sachen standen in Pfützen. Nicht selten rutschte einer von uns böse aus auf dem lackierten Betonboden. Es gab keine nutzbare Terrasse. Irgendwelche maximal unbequemen Stühle aus Ästen im Sand mit einem kleinen Holztisch, waren die Sitzmöbel vor dem Haus. Die Stühle versanken im Sand und es war das Absurdeste, was uns Jemals begegnet ist. Die selben Stühle befanden sich auch im Essbereich (Restaurant kann man dazu nicht sagen), welcher ebenfalls ausschließlich im Sand war. Es war schier nicht möglich irgendwie vernünftig zu sitzen. Alles versank im Sand. Keine einzige befestigte Bodenfläche, außer die Umrandung des Pools. Alles, wirklich Alles war so schmierig und dreckig.... Ekelhaft. Die Stuhlkissen waren so verschmutzt, unfassbar. Das Personal bewegte sich nur, wenn es sich wirklich nicht vermeiden lies. Abends wurden die paar Liegen die es gab, nicht wieder schön unter die Sonnenschirme gestellt, damit es am nächsten Morgen ordentlich für die Gäste wäre. Gläser, Tassen, Müll wurden nicht weggeräumt. Blieben einfach da stehen oder liegen, wo sie halt waren. Es gibt 15 ! Sonnenliegen. Die Sitzbereiche wurden nicht sauber gemacht und auch nach Regen nicht zum trocknen hochgenommen. Die Sitzbänke unter den Palmen sind vollkommen kaputt. Die Sitzflächen aus Schnüren haben sich fast vollständig aufgelöst und es wird Nichts repariert. Es wird ja nicht einmal bemerkt. Gerne macht es sich das Personal aber Abends ganz selbstständig und direkt vor den Gästen auf den Liegen gemütlich. Dazu die lebensbedrohlichen Zustände durch herabfallende, mehrere Kilo schwere Kokosnüsse, welche in circa. 15 - 20 Meter über einem hängen. Mein Mann hatte großes Glück, denn eine Kokosnuss verfehlte ihn nur um knapp zwei Meter. Die verdorbenen herabgestürzten Kokosnüsse werden dann tatsächlich den Gästen für 2 Dollar zum trinken angeboten. Das Frühstück bestand aus Weißbrot, einer Marmelade und einem vollgeschmierten Glas Nutella, auf welches man ordentlich stolz war. Die frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen waren der einzige Lichtblick. Keine Wurst, kein Käse und, obwohl Sansibar hunderte Obstsorten beherbergt, gab es immer nur etwas Melone, Ananas und ab und zu Mango oder ähnliches. Siamo arrivati il 26/12/2022 e siamo ripartiti il 05/01/23. Questo posto ci rimarrà nel cuore per sempre! Si può vivere una vacanza senza scarpe al ritmo lento delle onde del mare. Capiamoci: questo posto non è per tutti! Se cercate l'efficenza e la puntualità svizzera, se una formica sperduta sul patio è un problema, se volete allenarvi per la traversata dello stretto di Messina a nuoto non venite qui! Il villaggio è tranquillo e rilassato e tutto è sempre in ordine, le camere sono pulitissime, il mare va e viene al ritmo delle maree.Questo vi permetterà di fare un bagno come di raggiungere a piedi la barriera corallina vedendo i tesori nascosti del mare! Le escursioni proposte sono bellissime e anche se con i beachboys potrete risparmiare qui siete sicuri che vi tratteranno come persone di famiglia permettendovi anche di scoprire lungo la strada angoli e usanze nascoste.... L'unica cosa importante è che la vostra filosofia sia Hakuna matata e pole pole e la vostra vacanza si trasformerà in un sogno!
