Just 100 metres from the tea houses of the Higashi-Chayamachi district, Minshuku Ginmatsu features free Wi-Fi throughout and offers Japanese-style rooms with air conditioning, an LCD TV and shared bathrooms. A Japanese breakfast is available. Each room includes green tea and has a heated leg-warming table (kotatsu) for use in cold weather. Toilets are shared. Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. A 10-minute bus ride from JR Kanazawa Train Station, the inn is a 20-minute walk from Kenroku-en Garden. Stayed 2 nights. Received a lovely warm welcome from our hosts, despite very limited language crossover. Traditional minshuku and rooms, in a beautiful part of town close to the river. We had the larger room at the front of the building. Despite the proximity of the street it was very quiet. Comfortable shared bathroom and toilet, which nonetheless felt quiet and private and werespotlessly clean ( and this room had it's own sink). In our tatami room we had comfortable futons and the usual buckwheat pillows, a telly, a heater and a kettle. Breakfast was amazing - authentic, delicious home cooking Highly recommended if you want a bit of real Japan
