Patrick and Mary-Clare have the most fantastic place. The rooms were amazing! Their friendly service was fantastic and you could not wish for a better location. Cannot recommend enough. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Hope to return one day. Just awesome, spotlessly clean and a real treat!

A delightful experience with quality and engaging hosts, high standard and modern accommodation. The location was excellent within short walking distance to the main restaurants/shops and a walkway to a seal colony. The great view included watching a pod of dolphins at breakfast.

Delighted we chose the “Hamptons” Patrick was a perfect host, the room was stunning, there are only 2 suites, both with lovely with sea views. While officially a bed and breakfast, the room felt professionally put together with thought and attention. It was as good as any 5 star hotel rom. A very very pleasant stay. Highly recommend.

An exceptional stay Thanks to our guests Marie Claire and Patrick. We were very well received very attentive to breakfasts and were able to exchange with them despite our difficulty of language. A great time, thank you both ! To recommend with your eyes closed

What a delight it was to arrive in Kaikoura and see the Hamptons with its glorious outlook. Our room was fabulous - a perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries after a long drive. Our hosts were charming and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We were sad to leave.

We went to Kaikoura, as so many do, to go whale watching and were lucky enough to stay at the Hamptons. What a house this is! Bang on the front with amazing views and easy access to the town and the peninsular walk. And the upstairs breakfast room? Well, that's to die for. Charming host and hostess , large comfy rooms, en-suite, easy parking. What's not to like? Stay here is our advice. Michael and Debbie Foster, Dockenfield, UK

Our second stay at The Hamptons and it was just as enjoyable as the first. A lovely rooms looking out over the ocean and a great location. Patrick and Mary-Clare are lovely hosts and sharing breakfast with them on the top floor overlooking the ocean is a fabulous way to start a day. If we ever come back this way, we’d certainly hope to stay here again.

Lovely location overlooking the coast and very convenient for restaurants and other amenities. Breakfast upstairs with the hosts is a nice way to meet other guests. The room was very comfortable and clean even had fresh flowers.
