Ikaki Niwas - A Heritage Boutique Hotel

Ikaki Niwas is in a great neighbourhood, a quiet area next to a park in a secure gated street. About 10 mins drive from the old city in good traffic. A comfortable and relaxing accomodation, with great detail in furnishings and ornaments throughout the home. Lots of spaces to sit and relax/read/chat. The dining room and terrace are a lovely light filled area, with fantastic food, the breakfasts were substanial and tasty. We dined in one evening and the food was fabulous. Staff were attentive, engaging and friendly.

We had booked a cookery demonstration as part of our trip to Jaipur. We received the warmest of welcomes from our hostess Devika. She brought us through her lovely home to the dining area where she showed us how to make a papad curry while we munched on the most delicious onion bajjis. Throughout the demonstration, she chatted with us and encouraged us to participate in chapatti making. After the demonstration, we sat down with Devika to enjoy the fruits of her labour, which were delicious. She was a wonderful hostess, engaging and so friendly. Of note, we were not staying on the property but Devika gave us the tour and it looks lovely. Overall a unique and very enjoyable experience.

I stayed 2 days in Jaipur and I couldn’t have had a better experience that the one Ikaki gave me. First day I arrived late in the afternoon and they had saved lunch for me because they knew I did a 4h30 road trip. People there were really helpful, thoughtful and disponible for anything I needed. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I felt welcomed and really secure as a solo woman traveler. I surely recommend that place !

Gaurav and his team were very attentive and really went out of their way to make our stay in Jaipur as comfortable as possible! Swimming pool was a great bonus. Rooftop outdoor space was lovely. Rooms spacious and charming. Location convenient to old city.

This is a great place to stay in a quiet part of town, beside of a cute little garden with a walking path and playground. The rooms are comfortable, the food is great and the staff so friendly and helpful! We highly recommend this place and will stay there again when back in Jaipur!

Big welcome from the family, the host was very informative about the spices she used in the coking after we sat down to a delicious meal were the whole family join us in conversation. Take a shawl or jacket as the demonstration is outside and in March it was a bit chilly.

Ikaki Niwas was a perfect two-night rest point during a busy small group tour (7 participants) in Northern India. The owners where so welcoming to us in their beautiful home in a perfect quiet location close to the tourist attractions of Jaipur. It was so tranquil, calm, and tastefully decorated. The home itself is at the end a street adjacent to a very peaceful park that my room overlooked. The rooms are spacious with private ensuites and have everything a traveller needs. The filtered drinking water provided in glass not in plastic was a welcome relief to see at this location. The staff were very helpful and looked after us very well. The breakfast was substantial and again felt like we were in a home. The breakfast area opens to a lovely roof top area with a plunge pool and overlooks the street below and park. Was lovely to be able to sit there and have a quiet drink at the end of our busy day of sightseeing in Jaipur. It was also nice to chat to other travellers about their experiences in India and of Ikaki Niwas. The whole experience was so delightful. I can’t thank the owners and staff enough for the pleasant time I had during my stay here. They should be very proud of their achievement in providing this experience to travellers in India. I would return. Thank you.

Lovely family, atmosphere & very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Interested in getting to know you & your needs without being overbearing. Variety of tasty food. The cooking experience was brilliant & very informative. Left with recipes to try at home. Would definitely recommend & return

Superb hospitality and an interesting and enjoyable cookery lesson. This was followed by the most delicious buffet dinner provided for our group of 23 travellers during our visit to Jaipur. Thankyou very much for hosting our group in your beautiful home.
