The island is very far from the mainland. There is a small village and it is far from the hotel. There are no big markets to shop outside. Unfortunately, both the island people, hotels and restaurants tried to sell us something. We were going to stay in this hotel for a week, but we only lasted three days. We had to eat here because we couldn't eat anywhere else. They turned this into an advantage. Unfortunately, we had to spend a lot of money.

Overwhelmingly beautiful and exceptional in every possible way….just book this property as quickly as you can. The staff, the extraordinary marble suites, the wonderful breakfasts, the opulence, the incredibly gifted Spa staff and the never-ending encouragement and support to live your best possible life…. no one should ever want to leave Calilo.

There is quite simply nothing like this hotel - if you want true 5 star luxury on a Greek island, this is the place to be - it is that simple. We returned for our Mini Moon after getting engaged here last year, and stayed in the brand new one bedroom heart suite (room 33), which was breathtaking - the sheer size, detail and quality of it has to be seen in person, photos no matter how good do not do this place justice. The staff are simply amazing - bearing in mind it was end of season, the service levels remained high, and very attentive - there are too many to mention but I am going to give it a go; Vlasis is a true credit to you Maria, Marianna and Joanna in the restaurant Mike the barman is a master of his craft Philip is a wonderful person Vangelis, Alex, Daniel, Nikos, Eleni and of course the lovely Laura The food was also great, whether it was the inclusive breakfast for dinner - we tried the main restaurant and room service which were both great. Yes, there is a 15 euro service charge, but they make that perfectly clear - unsure on the complaints of this one. We had one minor issue that the guys resolved immediately - the rooms as mentioned are outstanding but there was nowhere to sunbath, all of the lounging areas were covered. We requested sunbeds and within 30 mins we had 2 in the room, thank you. The new Gym and Spa area is out of this world too, surely, and by no exaggeration, it has to be one of the best in Greece? Just a final thank you to everyone, really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again!

By far one of the best hotels i have been.The main advantage of the hotel is its staff.We stayed for 2 nights and we had an excellent spa treatment with Ms Katherine.We dined at the main restaurant with 2 friend of mine and the steaks was out of this world.Congrats to all the service staff that was very attentive.We didn't need to bother for anything.The rooms was superb and we enjoyed every minute!Pools are gorgeous.Keep it up guys!Next year we are coming back for sure...

The resort and rooms are amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The only reason I rated it 4 and not 5 is our room. Room 17, beachfront. It must be the smallest room on the beach. Our friends are staying in 18 on the end, it has a waterfall spacious seating and much larger. The interior itself is the same and lovely. The room 16 outdoor space is huge. Larger pool and giant veranda. If you book at beachfront try or avoid 17. It’s a small space with 2 small pools and not much veranda.

Family and friends. The most amazing time. Extraordinary location, stunning rooms and warm and efficient staff. Greatly improved food offering, exciting cocktail master. The gym is absolutely fantastic albeit a little warm, and we cannot wait to play Padel next year.

Fantastic place, lives up to its reputation. The staff there couldnt have been more friendly, Mike behind the bar is a star and the guys down the beach were very helpful, Alex and Jimmy (didn't get the rest of the guys names) but always there when you need them. Ended up booking some extra time there as is was so good.

I wąż promise counciere 24h and I ask fir few staff in the email when I arrive the person check in didnt know what I want and it is problem with service i wanted my counciere 24h iron my dresses I was told no and it is housekeeping job !

My Husband and I loved our experience at Calilo. Very clean and friendly environment. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They have an amazing gym facility. Hara is a great asset to the gym, she is always ready to assist. Also take her yoga class, I had done my first yoga class with her and it was amazing!
