We recently stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort and overall had a mixed experience. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming throughout our stay, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel taken care of. Their hospitality is definitely one of the highlights of the resort. However, there were several maintenance issues that affected our comfort. Many of the pathways around the property were heavily overgrown with plants, which made walking less pleasant and also attracted a lot of insects. The lack of proper trimming also blocked what could otherwise be beautiful sea views, which was quite disappointing given the location. On our first night, we unfortunately woke up to a gigantic spider in our room, which had to be removed by staff. This seemed to be due to poor sealing around the main and terrace doors. It made it difficult to fully relax during the rest of our stay, as we were constantly aware that insects could get in. The lady in the reception mentioned there was a barbecue buffet on the first day of our arrival. As we came to the restaurant, it was not a buffet but à la carte. Even the restaurant staff seemed annoyed as it seems we were not the first guests to question why “buffet” was mentioned. We also experienced repeated issues with the bathroom facilities. The toilet became clogged easily, regardless of whether we used paper or not, and the showerhead was heavily limescaled, resulting in very weak water pressure. In addition, there appeared to be mould above the air conditioning unit, which was concerning from a maintenance perspective. The toilet roll holder was broken, but not fixed, just “put into place again”, but still being broken. The holder for the towels was also broken and very crooked. All of these things needs to be fixed and maintained, and it gave us an impression that nothing will be fixed unless someone complains about it. There seems to be very little maintenance of the rooms. While the setting and potential of the resort are beautiful, these issues suggest that more attention to upkeep and preventative maintenance would greatly improve the guest experience.

Lovely resort, own gym and restaurant. Owner is quiet lovely and helpful. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. A bit far from the party center, ideal place for a nice and quiet time.

We stayed for 2 nights at Zosimo’s Inn. Our rooms was massive with kitchen and a fridge. Our second room upstairs was where our young adults stayed. The place is clean, room was very welcoming. Bed has the right firmness. Sheets and towels were crisp white. Toiletries were provided. No Netflix or Disney on the TV. Reception answers inquiries promptly. This was the reason I opted for this place. The price I paid for was just right with breakfast included. There is a very close walkable street food in Lazi, which was great. Our breakfast was served in a nearby eatery where our meal was prepared as ordered. Overall, it was a good stay, aside from its distance from the main city- around 30 minutes. I can recommend this place if distance to the noisy main city is not for you. I was gonna upload photos but trip.com website takes a long while to upload. ☹️

Minuses: - the pool is really small, just for chilling, not swimming. - Mobile network signal is bad or non-existent. Hotel wifi is very very slow most of the time. The rest was amazing.  Very beautiful setting, very clean resort, amazing restaurant, super friendly helpful and attentive staff.  You can also hire snorkelling equipment from them (must do! Lots of fun and pretty safe), and can hire a scooter directly via hotel (very easy and smooth process). Overall loved my stay and will happily stay there again!!!

Далеко от центра, в домике совсем не плохо, есть кулер с горячей водой и холодной, но нет возможности пожарить или сварить еду. Видели рыбу тунец, яйца сырые, овощи можно было что-то приготовить, потому что еды нет нужной все со специями , острые, сладкие булочки с мясом. Также на Филиппинах нет почему то фруктов очищенных, резанных как в Тайланде, ведь страна то фруктовая, у туристов не всегда есть возможность помыть и почистить фрукты, а так гуляешь и кушаешь фрукты, да и местные подзаработали бы на этом. Редко очень редко где делаю напитки из фруктов, кокосы не везде продают и разделывают. Могли зарабатывать на этом местные , очень жаль что не поешь вдоволь фруктов. Фрукты очень дорогие и все вообще дорого из продуктов, как у нас в России стоимость а иногда и дороже

Staff are friendly and helpful, but we had no hot water to start off with, our toilet blocked up, very noisy because of the people on the upper floor and the cockerels very early in the morning. Beach is very smelly and muddy, you can definitely not use it for swimming. They charge even for a coffee takeaway cup. Room/bathroom is dated. Location is great, and garden is nice.

I had the best time staying at mad monkey siquijor. Nelson was amazing and took the time to know everyone's name and treated everyone like a true friend. Definitely give this man a raise! He was a whole vibe! The facilities are cleaned daily and all of the staff is helpful making recommendations or helping to arrange transport. Rooms were very spacious with hot water, AC, and privacy curtains. Highly recommend if you're on the island. Shout out to Pablo the accountant too he and all of the staff make this place so special! Thanks again for everything!

Le camere sono molto carine e semplici nel complesso e la pulizia è buona. Ma mi devo concentrare purtroppo su altri aspetti che possono rovinare o comunque influenzare molto il soggiorno. Le camere sono sia sul davanti che sul dietro e qui vengono mostrate maggiormente quelle davanti che godono di migliore posizione pulizia e silenzio. Purtoppo noi siamo capitati dietro per le due notti che siamo rimasti ed eravamo proprio davanti alla cucina. Gruppi di persone che soggiornavano lì hanno fatto confusione dall’una di notte fino la mattina o comunque almeno fino alle 4 e mezzo di mattina e alle 6.30 c’era gente che già cucinava e faceva ******. Non si gode di riposo e rispetto quindi io la eviterei. Inoltri i bagni i comune non hanno mensole e ripiani per appoggiare le cose e, oltre a essere molto sporchi, a causa di ospiti con livelli di igiene bassa, non sapevamo come muoverci e dove mettere i prodotti del bagno. Carta igienica sempre bagnata perché accanto alla doccia. Il posto sarebbe carino ma oltre a trovarsi in una via isolata, non ci ha permesso di riposare per queste situazioni. Personale gentile e disponibile ma inutile inerire tante regole se poi non vengono rispettate.

We availed one seaview room and 1 highway view room. The highway room was so clean, like newly renovated, its perfect. Spacious, mlamig na aircon and new. Unlike the seaview room, mejo natanggal na ang paints sa may cr, and aircon is mejo luma and may konting alikabok. But OVERALL, WE LOVE IT. Just a few touch lang sa seaview. Will recommend this to friends and family!!

This is a lovely oceanfront hotel with beautiful views, and the owners are truly friendly and helpful. Siquijor is a small island, so even though the resort is located a bit south of San Juan, it is still very easy to reach by scooter. During our stay, the only issue was that there were several ongoing construction works on the property, which unfortunately disrupted the experience, especially the construction near the infinity pool. Overall, it is a very nice resort with great potential, and I would happily recommend it and return once the construction is finished.
