Former Australia soldiers of 3 RAR travelled to Kapyong, to commemorate the Battle of Kapyong 24 April 1951 (in 2025). This brilliant accommodation is located a 2 min stroll over the Gyeonggi-do river to the Australia & NZ memorial, where a friendly well equipped convenience store sits below it. The Host property was spotless, as picture online and well maintained. The owner aims to be non invasive (monitoring from Wi-Fi cameras on the outside of the property) and to protect it. He saw our struggles attempting to light fire on a cold night and quickly drove down to assist :). The lovely store holder closed up shop (when we tried to order food) to take us down to his local family restaurant (for authentic Korean food, which to tried to offer for free and we persistently and politely declined, fantastic local hospitality towards us and in general. The host then drove us back into the Gapeyoung Train station when we tried to order a Taxi. Fantastic experience and would stay here again and highly recommend it. We are a family from Germany and stayed for two nights. We were extremely happy with the accommodation – the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. We actually arrived one day earlier than booked, and he took great care of us, even inviting us for dinner! The cozy place was very well equipped – a large TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We truly appreciated the owner’s wonderful hospitality. Thank you so much again!

The staff was incredibly kind. The rooms were clean and modern with a small kitchen and balcony. The location was right on the river and they had space for swimming.

겉으로 보기엔 되게 옛날 숙박업소 같은 느낌이라 들어갈 때 여기만 제발 아니었으면 하고 바랬었는데요! 막상 들어가니까 내부 시설은 pc도 성능 괜찮고 침대나 분위기나 조명이나 굉장히 깨끗하고 모던한 방 느낌이었어요! 다음번에 근처 가게 되면 한 번 더 방문할 의사 있습니다!

Didn’t get the pickup service even though it was clearly mentioned free pickup service.

겨울여행이라 미리 난방을 부탁했으나 미리 난방이 되어 있지 않아 좀 추웠습니다. 그리고 바닥 난방이 되지 않아 겨울에 이용하기에는 좀 별로인 것 같습니다. 그 외에는 시설도 깨끗하고 뷰도 좋아 여름에 가면 좋았을 것 같습니다.

ทิวทัศน์ดีมาก ฉันรู้ว่าไม่มีอะไรใกล้เคียง ร้านอาหารของโรงแรมปิดเร็วเกินไปในตอนเย็นเพื่อลิ้มรสอาหาร ฉันขอเปลี่ยนปลอกหมอนเพราะมีกลิ่นเหมือนปลอก แต่เปลี่ยนทันที แต่ผ้าคลุมซักผ้าดีและดูเหมือนว่าหมอนมีกลิ่น ห้องน้ําในห้องสะอาดและดี มันสวยงามจริงๆเมื่อพระอาทิตย์ตกดิน ฉันคิดว่ามันเป็นสถานที่ที่ดีที่จะพักผ่อน~

For me, it was nice to stay. But the hotel is old enough unlike the others

whilst the location is fabulous, the check in experience leaves very little to be desired for. upon arriving (after a long drive from Gyeongju), we could not find anyone at the property. We didnt know that the neighbours there were not part of the property so when we knocked on their door, they got a little annoyed at us, and that we were bothering them. We ended up having to call the numnber listed on the booking site, but the problem was that the person who picked up the phone couldnt speak any english - and i kept saying check in, and he kept saying 4pm. All i wanted for him to do was to show up in person to check us in, not tell me that check in time is 4pm, which I already know! he then hung up after trying to communicate with us. so we waited and waited and called and called and called, and then, when we were just to give up to find another place to stay, a lady turned up and asked my name. We then got checked in. the room was beautiful - it was a lot bigger than what we needed. there were no chairs in the room so my poor partners' back was in pain because he couldnt really sit on the floor. the floor was also very hot through the night so we couldnt really sleep as the heat came through the floor mattress.
