"It was a lovely 2-night stay in the Oceanview Twin Room. We were offered an upgrade for just $20 a day to enjoy a balcony, definitely worth it! Loved the location, so close to shops with plenty of food and drink options. The kids and I also had a great time relaxing in the heated pool and spa, even in the cold weather.

"The hotel has a good location in Glenelg close to the ***** of restaurants on Jetty Road, the waterfront and the Ferris Wheel. We had a room on the 1st floor but it had a good view of the trees and the road in front. Our experience in Glenelg was marred by the numerous flies in the area that kept bothering us as we walked around the parks and waterways in the area. We also had a slight misunderstanding whereby although the hotel had agreed to a late checkout at the time of checking in, this was not documented and the cleaning crew came knocking on our door and asking us to go to the Reception to sort out the issue."
"We had a great time at glenelg! This hotel is right at the beach. Great location! A bit outdated but well kept. We had a great stay in here. Thank you."
"Very nice place to stay. Great location etc. My only criticiscm is the tv is fixed to the wall nownere near the beds, so you cant watch tv in bed, and, the double couch was just too small and cheap an uncomfortable frankly. Definitely in need much better bigger comfy couches in the rooms."
"Room and facilities were well kept and clean. The apartment was spacious and although it was only 2 of us staying, it would be great if you were travelling with friends of kids. Super close to the beach and main road with food and shopping, but not so close that you get heaps of noise from people. Parking was easily accessible, and would be good for any vehicle as it was open air parking."
"We arrived late at night and found that the main light in our apartment was out. We contacted customer service right away, but as expected, no one could be sent to fix it until the next day. Even with the lighting being dim, we noticed a small cockroach on the wall. The apartment otherwise looked reasonably clean at first glance, but the poor lighting didn’t help.
I then went to use the bathroom and was immediately met with something that made me sick. When I lifted the toilet lid, I found clear remnants left behind from the last guest—there was no way to ignore it. It was utterly foul and instantly ruined any sense of cleanliness in the apartment. On top of that, the toilet had visible stains, making it feel neglected and unhygienic.
When I moved on to the shower area, it got worse: there were pieces of soap left sitting in the soap dish and a bath sponge hanging off the tap. I felt thoroughly disgusted throughout the rest of our stay, and it ******* me.
If there had been a 24/7 front desk, I would have requested a room change. Since we’d already called about the lighting, and seemed to have woken up the guy from his sleep, we didn’t call again.
For context, my friends stayed in another room in the same property and theirs was fine—though they mentioned the second person to shower didn’t have enough hot water and their heater/ air conditioner was so noisy that they had to turn it off in order to go to sleep."
