An absolute dream! The cottages were rich with history and culture. Views were amazing! It was nice to spend time on this side of the island, quite removed from the touristy West side. I could spend a month working abroad and staying in the cottages - just a wonderful experience. The only downside, not a very walkable area.

An amazing place to stay! Greek tradition tastefully preserved in a very stylish way! The Cottages are spacious, clean and warm , great also for staying in and relaxing ! The location is ideal for excursions to lovely beaches and traditional villages ! The hostesses is also great , always willing to assist! A great place to stay for many days without ever feeling bored!!! Will definitely go back again!!

If you want to get in touch with Greek tradition combined with so tasteful decoration, in a place which provides easy access to splendid beaches and traditional villages, great food and above all, Ioanna , a super happy and classy hostess ! Staying in is equally exceptional as the surrounding environment!

It was perfect , the cottage and the view were great. Ionna gave us good advice to visit her country. We like Crète a lot. We recommand Koutsounary Cottage. We'll certainly come back when we'll visit Crète next time.

If you are visiting the Irepetra area of Crete, you can of course stay at one of the fancy resorts right on the water. But if you want a truly unique and memorable experience, THIS is the place to stay. Authentic, traditional vibe with all the necessary modern amenities, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, within walking distance of many Tavernas AND the beach, and in my opinion a better view of the Libyan Sea. Plus Ioanna and her wonderful staff will take good care of you. If I could give it 6 stars I would - will definitely be returning here the next time I visit the area!!!

Ioanna the manager made me feel right at home. Beautiful cottage with lots of authentic and carefully chosen details. A feast for the eyes and very beautifully done. I loved it and can only highly recommend a stay in those marvelous cottages. Ioanna also gave me lots of excellent recommendations for exploring the area, very inspiring and suggested superb restaurants. I can highly recommend this place and will come back.

Charming place to spend few days away from the crowd. Stylish restauration of traditional cottages, yet kept simple, and with all necessary comfort to feel welcome and well taken care of. We had cottage ‘Mikro’ with a fabulous view over the sea and olive trees. Kitchen small, albeit very well equipped. Korres toiletries in the bathroom (appreciated). Ioanna, the efficient and equally charming manager, gives soul to the place and share her recommendations of restaurants and things to see - she is a fine connoisseur of the region. ❤️ If you have few days to spare, stay there!

We visited Crete in October 2022 and loved our stay at Koutsounari Traditional Cottages. Our cottages was spacious and had plenty of room for the 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children). Plus, we loved the Greek island style of the cottage and grounds and the sunrise over the sea each morning. Our kids especially liked playing with the friendly cats who visited us. Ioanna, at the office, was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and things to do around Crete. We would definitely stay again!

This wonderful small cottage was very charming! The landlady welcomed us with kind and warm heart! We could have many advices from her for tour, and her choices of restaurants were one of the most important advice to listen! Cottage was comfortable and cute! We simply loved it!!
