The elevator was broken and never coneyed to me ahead of time or when i checked in. It was only made known to me as i was waiting for an elevator that didnt show up and a guy motioned for me to follow him to the back service elevator which was dirty and worn down. When i arrived in my room the surfaces of the counter tope were smudged and the the bed cover felt dingey. When i attempted to go down stairs (from the fifth floor the elevator did not work, even though that is what the first guy who told me to use the service elevator had said, which was strange to me. I ended up going down one sketchy darkened stairwell that lead outside and upon entry i was told that all i needed to do was use the service elevator, even though the door to the back hallway was locked and for staff only. In the morning i walked to where there was a restaurant and specifically asked the woman behind the counter, whom seemed surprised to see anyone, if the breakfast was complimentary. The woman responded with a firm yes, and told another woman i was in the area incase i needed anything. I thought that was nice. I then proceeded to serve myself from the presented buffet and was asked what i wanted to drink. The second woman had brought me a sprite and a straw. I prayed, and proceeded to eat some bacon, scrambled eggs and a biscuit and a few grapes and cantelope slices.
As i was nearing the end of my small breakfast, i was presented with a bill for roughly $18. I told the front desk who comped it.
