I'm not a fancy guy and when traveling alone, I always look for a BW as I find them to be consistent and I love a good breakfast. This particular BW has two big things going for them... 1. This BW is located right across the street from Arrowhead Stadium. I walked from my hotel to the tailgate party. Super convenient. 2. This BW has one heck of a sports bar, something I've never seen in any of the BWs I've stayed in through the years. The two bartenders were fantastic, hustled all night, and even cobbled together several White Russians for us! If I could go back to the topic of breakfast, I would say that this BW has the biggest, nicest, dining room that I've seen as well. It is unique along those lines. Areas of improvement: It's probably time to invest in some new mattresses. The one-person check-in can get swamped at times. The EV charger was broken when I was there. I hope they get that repaired soon. Even with these things, I give this BW a 5-star rating because the good way outweighs the bad.
I was extremely impressed with Sonesta. I will definitely be coming back again. The rooms were very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. We thought there was a problem with the temperature controller in the room. The clerk let me know that maintenance was not there, so she upgraded us to a suite. Well, we got to that room and thought we had the same issue, but there was no issue the heating unit was on the wall, they just still had the old units to adjust the temperature on floor. It turned out to be one of my best experiences with a hotel. Great Customer Service! The breakfast was extremely nice. The pool and hot tub was extremely nice. I was very impressed. We go to a lot of hotels, and for that price, it was so worth it. I will be looking for other Sonesta Hotels when I travel.
This motel appears to be an older structure. However, unlike many motels that seem to get bought/sold without regard for maintaining and updating, this motel is cared for. All interior appointments were updated, in good repair, and clean. The staff was nice. Motel is a good value and their breakfast, while in a small room, is a bonus for the price of the room. If you don't mind an exterior entrance I highly recommend it.
We have stayed at this hotel countless times. But unfortunately, this time was extremely disappointing. We were there for two nights, in a suite, in order to have the extra bed. When we opened the bed the sheets were used and dirty. Looked like blood stains. When we pulled the bed out, there were numerous sucker sticks visi le under the couch, along with other trash and a dirty sock. The front desk was resposive and brought sheets. Did not apologize, just said that is not something housekeeping checks. When we put sheets on mattress we saw something more disgusting... photo attached. We told the person who came to the room and he just looked at me. He said they were undergoing renovations. Well, clearly had not gotten to our room. The next day, hpusekeeping was only fresh towels. We actually ran put of toilet paper right before checkout. The breakfast was one of the most bare HIE breakfasts I have seen. We typically enjoy HIE breakfasts, but this one just missed the mark. Overall, not worth the money paid. And disappointing.
I stayed at the Loews in June 2024 for a conference. The conference facilities, including the catered food for breakfast and lunch, were top notch. The space, layout, and room for side conversations was good. I'd happily have a conference there again. As for the rooms, the double queen room I was in was great. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean, the pillows plentiful. The light hygiene for the room was a solid 98% and only thing missing is that the blackout curtains don't quite close all of the way. Nothing that the clamps from the hanger in the closet couldn't fix. The downstairs bar was well stocked, and slightly understaffed. Despite that, a good hangout for post conference discussions.
RRyan16AThe customer service is far better than most hotels I’ve stayed. From the front desk staff all the way up the general manager, each team member is very supportive and passionate about providing the best and relaxing stay possible. The rooms are very clean, breakfast is always fresh/ conveniently downstairs, and the staff always go out of their way to help with anything you request. 10/10 would recommend staying here
Great location downtown, very walkable to restaurants and bars. Bed was comfy, wifi was good, shower pressure was good. Housekeeping was suppose to come every other day but didn’t, we had to call for service. On a 4 night stay you’d expect housekeeping at least twice, they weren’t going to come at all if we hadn’t called. Never used the kitchenette but was nice to have some of the amenities. Free breakfast was alright, not the best, mainly single serve long life items, and once they were out, they were out - but we made the best of it. Parking was easy.
What a fantastic surprise! We came to visit family and ended up sending 4th of July grilling at the hotel (they had a gas grill and provided spatula and grill fork)! My kids enjoyed the pool. My son and his cousin enjoyed the basketball court. The entire family was able to enjoy dinner on the patio and the move in to the dining hall. Wonderful room that was comfortable and spacious, as well as other facilities! Great trip! This is the only place we will stay when we come back!
KKaty JWe will be back to this lovely hotel tucked into a park-like corner of Kansas City. It’s just steps from the Plaza and a quick walk to local restaurants and shops in Westport. Helpful and speedy valet service. Thanks Stephen! Soon the free trolley will extend to this neighborhood opening up a whole new way to get around.
