A group of six of us stayed at the Maashof hotel on what was the last night of a 10 day motorcycle tour and it was also my birthday. I had carefully chosen the hotel in the hope that we would have a lovely stay and dinner in a beautiful lakeside location. Unfortunately there were several issues which cast a significant shadow over my birthday celebrations and ruined our stay. The problems started when checking in when they overcharged two of my friends and they would have overcharged another friend and myself, had I not noticed and intervened. I had booked four single occupancy rooms and one double occupancy room and there was an administrative issue between *********** and the hotel which caused confusion over how many guests were staying in each room, despite the hotel having the names of the six guests against each booked room. All of us were asked when checking in how many guests were staying in each room, but despite this two friends were charged the double occupancy room rate and one friend was charged for two half board dinners despite them all being in rooms on their own. In addition, they also attempted to overcharge us for the half board option despite me accepting a special offer online which had been emailed to me prior to arrival. We then had a further major issue. Three of the rooms were directly underneath the kitchen and hotel entrance and were extremely noisy until very late in the evening and again the next morning starting around 5.30am which meant several of us had a very disturbed night. Two of my friends complained at the time and agreed with the duty manager that they would have the full cost of their room refunded, as he was unable to offer them an alternative room. He advised them that if we had wanted better, quieter rooms we should have booked directly with the hotel rather than through *********** and he told my friend to email the Reservations Manager regarding the refund. The hotel management have admitted that the rooms we stayed in are very noisy, but there was no mention of this when we booked and they still charged the full room rate. On our return to the UK, I emailed the Reservations Manager and following many exchanges she offered a 25% refund for the three rooms most affected by the noise, despite the duty manager’s earlier promise of a full refund. Personally I thought this paltry offer did not provide sufficient remuneration for the problems we encountered but I felt I had no choice but to accept. I subsequently provided my bank details in an email but the refund was not forthcoming. I chased regularly by email as to why the refund was taking so long only to be told cross-border, cross-currency bank transfers take a long time and ”it will arrive within a few days” and then “as soon as possible”. Wonderful hotel, welcoming staff, great facilities. Since finding Van Der Valk hotels we wouldn’t use any other hotel chain when traveling through Europe

What a lovely place! The room is clean and spacious. Enough storage possibilities. We found the crew very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers a lot of information and discounts for activities around Arcen. Our room was located next to the garden opposite the restaurant. Very confenient :-) We thought it might be noisy but it wasn't at all.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel! Dacht ook echt met je mee. Top!! Kamer heel schoon. Mijn complimenten! Ontbijtje was lekker. Speciaal voor mijn dochter appelsap! We hebben t goed gehad. Dankjewel! Groetjes!!!

จองโรงแรมนี้สําหรับทริปธุรกิจ อาหารเช้า ไข่+เบคอน สลัด ผลไม้ เครื่องดื่ม มีนมและน้ําผลไม้ต่างๆ มันเป็นขนมปังต่างๆแต่เมื่อแมลงวันบินหลายครั้งแล้วความคิดเห็นกับแผนกต้อนรับเด็กบอกว่าเขาจะลาออกทันทีและมันก็ไม่มีประโยชน์ที่จะบอกเขา มีแมคโดนัลด์ตรงข้ามการเดินทางที่เครียดเกินไปที่จะจัดการกับมัน นอกจากนี้ยังมีคลังสินค้าใน Jingdong ใกล้เคียงบริษัทในห่วงโซ่อุตสาหกรรมรถยนต์ในประเทศยังเปิดธุรกิจระหว่างประเทศที่นี่และพบหนึ่งในทางเดิน ตอนนี้น่าจะเป็นช่วงท่องเที่ยว ราคาค่อนข้างสูง เป็นไปได้ บางวันจองเต็มหมด ชั้นละ 39 ห้องรวม 4 ชั้น

We rente there the two of us on 12 Feb 2023. We had made reservation in advance and we were welcomed most friendly. We were handed out the key to the and told the room is at the first floor. We went to the room and discovered that this was a very basic room. We looked for the restaurant and discovered that this was not to our linking, so we had dinner ”down town”. During night and early morning we were woken up by delivery trucks and the nearby motor way. The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel. There were scrambled eggs but not the way we used to eat there, it was a solid mass of omelet. There were some canned fruits, bread and butter and coffee from teh machine. Though what to expect in Deurne.

Wir haben mit unserem Kleinkind ein Zimmer gebucht, um zwei Tage im nahe gelegenen Park Irrland zu verbringen. Bis zum Einchecken hatte ich lediglich eine Reservierungsbestätigung mit Buchungsnummer und QR Code (meiner Erfahrung nach zum Check in) erhalten. Abends gegen 19Uhr standen wir nun mit müdem Kleinkind vor geschlossener Tür - Von einem Code für den Schlüsseltresor stand weder auf der Internetseite noch in der Mail etwas (laut Internetseite sei die Rezeption wochentags bis 22Uhr besetzt). Ich rief bei der Hotline an, hier war ich 2x insgesamt über 10min in der Warteschleife und wurde beide Male aus der Leitung geworfen. Andere Gäste im Inneren haben uns in die Lobby gelassen und reichten uns die nette Mitarbeiterin am Telefon weiter (nachdem sie übers Telefon der Rezeption über das Partnerhotel eine Karte codiert bekamen). Uns sollte über die Hotline auch eine der auf dem unordentlichen Tresen liegenden Karten codiert werden, was nicht funktionierte, sodass wir vor verschlossener Zimmertür standen. Also mit dem mittlerweile übermüden Kleinkind wieder zum Telefon in die Lobby und weitere Minuten in der Warteschleife. Nachdem uns die Mitarbeiterin noch einmal die Karte codiert hatte, konnten auch wir den Hörer direkt an die nächsten Gäste weiterreichen, die vor verschlossener Tür standen und ebenfalls nicht wussten was sie tun sollten. Nach über 45Minuten konnten wir endlich ins Zimmer. 2 Sterne gibt es nur für das Frühstück des angrenzenden Restaurants - hier war man sehr bemüht und es war sehr lecker. Was ist das für eine Organisation und für welchen Service zahlt man hier über 130€ die Nacht? Eine Rückmeldung des Hotels auf meine Beschwerde gab es übrigens auch nicht - wohl aber die Abbuchung nur 30Minuten nach dem telefonischen Check-Out, da auch morgens die Rezeption nicht besetzt war.

Great hotel central location. We had a room at side of hotel so wasn't that noisy. Staff go out of their way to help you. We only had breakfast in hotel but there was lovely plenty of choice. Rooms very clean. Would stay again. Walk across the road to bars restaurants and shops.
