Had such a lovely break, beautiful pool and facilities. Breakfast service great, would love to return, only one hour from home.

Property is excellent, very historical. Had feature room which was lovely and had great facilities (inc wine and beer in room). Food wasn’t great, we explained to staff who were very apologetic.
Roads leading to hotel are full of pot holes and in desperate need of resurfacing.
Staff were very friendly and helpful

Upon driving 4 hours to check at night in we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and there were no options to dine in the hotel but we could order a takeaway. Grand building from the outside in open grounds but really needing inves**ent as hotel looked tired

Overall there was a lack of attention to detail. There was a blue line from the top to the bottom of the television and the towel in the bathroom had a very large rip on it.
There was no water provided which was surprising for this standard of hotel.

Awful experience. Restaurant service a appalling, none of the staff have any interest. Food is average at best. Complaints were acknowledged and ignored.

The hotel itself is very lovely but the windows looked like they haven't been cleaned for a little while.
The restaurants food is also lovely but a somewhat limited menu abut the wait for our mains was a little too long but the head waitress offered us the bottle of wine for free as a good will gesture.
