Sea’Lavie Boutique Resort & Spa

We had a wonderful holiday at Sea LaVie. The staff are very attentive and go the extra mile to help. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The pool is clean, the garden is a beautiful calm oasis, and the location is right by the beach where you can hire a lounger very inexpensively. The beach is clean and a lot quieter than the busier An Bang beach. There are a few local restaurants nearby by, or take a very quick taxi or scooter ride to the beach side restaurants in An Bang beach. The hotel is just 4km from Hoi An old town, it was so nice to go in to shop and enjoy the old town, then get away back to the quiet beach. This hotel is very family friendly. Highly recommend!

I was a little reluctant about booking here. The reviews were good. But pool seemed small. Some people complained of the breakfast. Am I ever glad I came here. First off I love the boutique style. Rooms were roomy, updated, and clean. The grounds are great - you are right on the beach if that’s where you want to be or you can stay within the hotel property on loungers and overlook the beach and ocean. And lastly the food was great. Fruit, eggs cooked to your liking, coffee was reallly good compared to some other places we stayed at. If I would have to give it any downfalls - the gym is pretty sad. It does the trick in a pinch - but it’s not good. But if that’s the only bad thing I have to say - the stay was pretty awesome.

The facility is nice with generally good rooms and nice grounds. Breakfast is good with a good variety of Eastern and Western cuisine. The staff at the front desk however are almost completely complacent and indifferent. They didn’t provide and welcome debrief ( we checked in late, received typed letter that said they would provide more info in the morning-that never happened over 3 days). We had to ask for many small items of information: where is breakfast served, where do we receive beach/ pool towels, can we sit at the beach beds etc… and the staff did the bare minimum, never actively engaging. We found it easier to ask fellow patrons rather than “bother” the front desk staff. Front desk young ladies were looking at cell phones most of the time and didn’t acknowledge when we came to the front desk. While it wasn’t harmful to us , it was very very different from our experience in the other 4 hotels we have stayed in thus far in Vietnam. The other locations/hotels went out do there way to be personable and friendly and offer help which provided a very comforts be a**osphere. The breakfast staff were excellent. Cleaning and friendly, as were the housekeeping staff. Front desk could take a lesson from their colleagues.

I’ve just had the most wonderful holiday at this stunning hotel. Wonderful staff, kind, helpful , friendly people. I’d come back tomorrow if I could, it’s just so lovely. A perfect beachfront location, we stayed in a fabulous suite with phenomenal sea views. The victorian bath with a view of the sea made our holiday. The staff are super friendly and helped us with bookings to local attractions. Breakfast served in the pavement style cafe was lovely with menu changes daily. The area where the hotel is located is convenient for local attractions with many bars and restaurants in strolling distance. The on site spa is fantastic with a great range of trea**ents availble. Sea lavie is the perfect spot to enjoy a beach break.

We are spending 3 nights at the Sea’Lavie Resort in late January and so far the experience has been excellent. We were greeted on check-in by friendly staff with excellent English, they arranged a very early check-in for us (we arrived around 10am and were expecting to just leave bags and come back at 2pm but they prepared a room for us instead). Another friendly staff member gave us a great brief of the area and a handy map. The facilities are great, backing directly onto the beach. You can sit within the resort and overlook the beach with a coffee or a beer or duck down for a swim. The resort pool is also gorgeous. The rooms are clean and spacious, they had an oil candle burning on arrival with a beautiful fresh lemon grass scent through the room. The reception staff organised a trip to their partner tailor in Hoi An Old Town who were fantastic (Bao Diep Tailor); they picked us up in a car for the visit etc. For coffee lovers there is a specialty coffee house next door (Sound of Silence) which is excellent - not the quickest coffee but worth the wait. Also a range of restaurants and spas on the same road as the resort - definitely a sleepy beach vibe and a nice escape from the hustle and bustle and constant noise of the city (having just spent 3 nights in Ho Chi Minh City). Definitely recommend a visit!

Dont stay here unless you like dirty rooms and stray dogs! Not kidding. The stray dogs are EVERYWHERE. Outside in the cafe seating, in the stairwell! The clean rooms have their doors left open once housekeeping have finished and my husband and I spotted 2 stray dogs in clean rooms in the 2 nights we stayed here!! As soon as you step foot out of your cab, there will be dogs until you leave!! Bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Grime and mould around all tap fittings, bathtub plug and plug drainer both full of hair!! Yuck!! Toothbrush holder, filthy. Toilet roll holder, filthier. Kitchen sink tap, filthiest. But dont get me started on the outdoor shower!!! You'll catch diseases from that if you're not careful!! Absolutely putrid!! All floors in the room need a seriously good scrub. Tiles around the pool are gross and in desperate need of a good karcher. Staff are wonderfully kind and helpful, but that's all this place has going for it!

Sea'lavie is on a quiet ***** right on the beach. The loft room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Nice spot if you want to be on the beach with a few nice restaurants around. It is a few minutes from Hoi An town however taxis are always out front ready to take you in or better still snag yourself a driver for your time there or hire a motor bike. It can get really busy in Hoi An town so to be able to get away to somewhere quiet was great. Recommended.
