Last minute booking at a good nightly rate. On arrival discovered that we had been upgraded and given a pleasant room overlooking the bandstand and direct view out across the English Channel. The room was warm and cosy; in fact, too cosy when the sun was up. Although the windows didn’t open, there was a fan provided in the room should it have become too hot. The elevator has a mind of its own announcing the incorrect floor, but immediately following by the right one! Oh, and the decent from the ground floor to the basement is a bit brutal.
All in all it was a good stay in a good location, just a ten minute walk to the railway station and lots of places to eat.

Our experience at this hotel was not up to a 4 star standard at all. The outside of the hotel facing the beach looks grubby and run down, where as when you walk into the hotel the main entrance lobby is the only modern part about it. We were put into an 'upgraded room' since we had a small dog with us, however after being in the room for 5 minutes, myself and my partner noticed the room was filthy, crumbs on the floor, mirrors were marked and the paintings along with the lights in the room were just caked in dust so I went downstairs and complained. They then said they would move us into a room on the 2nd floor, which we found to be even worse than the previous room we walked into, the room smelt of paint giving us both a bit of a headache and it was extremely hot in the room, so we turned off the heater and the heated towel rail in the bathroom but yet throughout the whole night it was still absolutely roasting so our sleep was disturbed. Certainly will not be visiting this hotel again and luckily we only stayed for 1 night as we would have left if we were staying any longer.

Came over a little queer while away rang emergency services for help, that was last week ha ha. Apart from that just look after yourself always knowing your on holiday. Grin and bear it. Only here once I'm told. Couldn't fault the place, I tried but couldn't. Ps better than NHS food any day of the Milena. Keep up the good work. Pps if you don't agree don't read then.

This is the worst 4star hotel I've ever stayed in.
Hardly any staff, the bar area was blasting out football on several televisions with the crowd noise that you would expect at a sports pub .
Our double bed consisted of two singles pushed together. I know that it was reasonably priced, but, I wish that I'd paid more and got a better experience.
