Our stay at the Ivy was a lovely experience. Our room was very clean and cosy. The sitting room downstairs with the log burner blazing away was so welcoming and relaxed, it felt very peaceful in there. Darren was attentive, we felt very looked after. Breakfast was beautiful and the young man who waited on us was warm, friendly and easy to talk to. We wished we were staying longer and we will definitely return. Amazing place and lovely people ❤️

Always a pleasure to stay at The Ivy as guests of Darren and Roz. Ideally located in Hawkshead village with off road parking. Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Breakfast, as usual, excellent. The lovely Heather is always pleasant and polite to guests.

We booked a while ago as we were coming to see friends who have a business there. Staff were very attentive and accommodating at all times the breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Darren greeted us as we arrived we were early but room was ready. Nothing was a bother it’s a great base to explore the Lakes. Yes I’d recommend it. I wish Darren and his hard working team all the best for the future and thank you again for a stress free stay in a wonderful idilic setting. 😁😁

Just arrived home from a two night stay. A very friendly welcome and room was cosy and well stocked. Heather couldn't be any more helpful so very patient and kind to our children. A really lovely place to stay, and a lovely little village to explore. Visit Minstrels Coffee Shop for best Coffee and cakes!!!

Great location, easy access with sufficient parking for normal cars. Room was cosy, well provisioned with a mega bed. Darren was very friendly and was happy to suggest places to go and local walks etc. Breakfast was great, accommodating gluten free.

BEWARE - you will be charged a non-refundable deposit (£50 per room) and even if IVY HOUSE cancel your booking, they will keep your deposit! They offered to move my break but not to when my friends and I are available and will not offer a full refund.
